If you parlay your OL coaching into an SEC HC job, you're prob on the right track.
His circumstances were unique in that he took over when Hugh Freeze had to go off and find God again. So his three years there were recruiting restrictions and scholarship reductions. All that being said, they took the interim tag from him and gave him three years under those circumstances. He's a good man from all that I can gather. He has deep roots with Ole Miss and he may very well want to get back to being an OC or HC, but he stepped down from UGA after 2021 to be with his family more.
Be that as it may, he was a head coach nevertheless and knows the south. He has a championship ring with UGA. 46 years young and I think he'd bring a lot to that room with the offensive staff that is already in place.
