Ha, well, I've grown up in Ohio so it's hard to avoid Buckeyes even for a Catholic kid growing up with an Irish first household. Plus, aside from having a lot of family that has gone to ND, I know have a few cousins that are enrolled at OSU. Plus I married into a Buckeye family. Fortunately they're not doucebags, they like the Irish too.

Just got done playing online for a little while, pretty cool. Has a lot to do with ranking up, rank up as quickly as possible and you could start doing more and more stuff. Higher ranks = better missions

Haven't been able to get in myself on PS3. Seems to be more issues with the PS3 version as far as connecting, but I've heard part of the problem may be on Sony's side.

Anybody else having trouble getting online to work on PS3? The intro started fine with the plane and all but I got into the first little race that Lamar takes you to and now Im stuck in a loading screen for 10+ minutes???

I don't think it was as bad as yesterday as I couldn't even get in at all yesterday. Tonight I'm actually able to get on and do some things. I've been having trouble joining people in deathmatches/races, but I was able to do a mission with a random guy. It was actually kind of cool...but then when he tried to invite me to another I couldn't join. Still, today is better than yesterday as I'm able to at least do Solo and run around holding up stores, buy clothes, mod cars, etc.

Best part of today: some guy in free roam tried to chase me down. He busted up my car in the process. I tried to get some distance between us and switch cars. While I was getting into the other car he hit me...but didn't finish me off. I got up and popped him with my pistol while he was still driving. Boom, free cash =D

The spawns in this game online are really bad. With such a huge map you would think they would spawn everyone a decent distance away. Me and my buddy were holding up a store and some guy came by and shot out our tires so we continually killed him while he spawned in 1 of 2 places until he quit out of the game haha

Still having trouble? I had a few connection problems around prime time (6pm est - about 8pm est), but after that it was pretty smooth. The connection problems I did have mostly involved trying to join multi-player deathmatches/races, free roam was fine. By 10pm and later I had no connection issues and was able to do several missions with people. I did a couple deathmatches, a bike race at the airport, and some actual missions grabbing drugs and cars for NPCs.

On one mission I was set to get some Meth down by the reservoir/river that runs through the city. I was running with some random guy that I knew was pretty trustworthy as we helped each other on a few previous missions without any issues. However, on this mission someone else joined us. Well, the other two guys approached the meth dealers from the north, parking their cars up above at the street. I ended up swinging around from the south and left my car near the river. We caught the dealers in the middle from both sides, scoring the drugs. As I was running back to my car with the goods, the new player started opening fire on me, trying to steal the stuff for himself in a double cross. I was able to make it to the car, and with nothing to protect him down by the river I ran him over twice to end his coup. I picked up my trusted friend, and he provided cover fire from the pursuing drug lords while I drove us back to the drop off. Pretty fun little mission!

Looks like the Search for Crews still isn't working. I tried searching "Irish Envy" and got nothing. This is a known issue though I think. I already sent a PM, my PSN is Ulukinatme like my name.
