Unless someone is a douchebag, I’m always going to wish them well in their endeavors. It was a rushed hire that backfired. The fact MF was arguing against play-action during the season with some of the beat reporters siding with an obviously incorrect take, said enough that he was in over his head.

I wish him nothing but the best at Troy. I’m also happy GP the OC isn’t lingering over anybody’s head this offseason.

If Parker is a good recruiter, how does this affect our current classes?

Also, Parker had a strange position at his previous site where he had a expressly stated title about him being something like an HC heir apparent --- he has always been impatient about wanting to "ascend." This mental attitude could, by itself, be enough to get him out of here this quickly.

And ... any "loss" can only be evaluated in reference to what fully we "gain" by it ... so I (hopefully) await the facts-to-come there. (both in playcalling and in recruiting.)

Couldn't believe this news. Christmas truly comes early. Now go out and get a fuckin' decent coordinator for 2024! With this defense and Golden we have a real chance to make a run in the next year or two.

I've always loved Troy, they were my favorite team builder in NCAA Football till Texas State was added.
