nobody?
Who said he sucked in the preseason?
According to some practice reports Malik had rough days with accuracy and Kizer looked better during some sessions.

showtime link?
Two things that might have been pointed out already:
1. I love when the O-Line goes into Rugby-mode ten yards down the field...10 guys pushing the pile.

2. Who was getting lit up by BGV as he was coming off the field? Made Kelly look like an angel when he's mad.
Guys on ESPN/whatever always call this play a "Scrum" when if they had half a brain they would know its more akin to a Rolling Maul. Makes me cringe everytime they say that

I love it as well. I've also noticed that the O-line is usually already down the field and ready to go for the next play. The RB's have to love that.
IDK where to put this, it's just odd.

He must be referring to drinking a natty light and then leaving party.
Can we somehow erase that from the Internet? We need Ga. Tech to win 9 or 10 games, at least.
Game is on universal if anyone wants to watch it. I wish we would get Chris Brown the ball in space more because damn he is so explosive. Jaylon Smith I might never see another LB like him at ND, just a perfect talent. Rucssell still drives me nuts, this defense needs to force a damn pick! Can't believe we haven't gotten one yet, O line is miles ahead of where it was at this time last year. Please, please for the love of God let CJ Sanders return kicks. We know what we are getting with Amir returning kicks for the last couple years and it's not him. Doesn't have the vision to do it at a Championship level. Look at the teams that play for the playoffs they all play excellent special teams. Yoon will calm down but everytime he goes to kick it's like watching Rees throw a pass. Why doesn't Tori Hunter get on the field more often? Still think someone other than Day needs to develop a pass rush. Have to get pressure with the front 4, I have no idea where Trumbetti and Okwara have been, I know this wasn't a game for them but moving forward it's something needs to happen
Also Deshone Kizer stares down his first look and never goes to his second read. He needs to start going through his progressions if we want to beat Clemson and play Championship football.
That's all from my rant. Also Greer Martini is a heck of a football player wouldn't mind seeing him and Nyles Morgan play inside for us next year.
I'd like to add Corey Robinson to the list. He hasn't done much since FSU last year. I know QBs need to spread the ball around, but he's been underwhelming to me so far this year (and late last year). I know ESB is training behind Fuller, but why can't they put him on the field in Corey's spot? Serious question for anyone who may know. BK has raved about how good ESB is and would like to get him on the field more. To me, this is his chance.
Just pointing out-I really enjoy how Kizer sucked in the preseason yet now he's the second coming.
Kizer just keeping a seat warm/holding a spot for Wimbush-remember?
Let's get real for a minute. He had a decent game against GT. He will probably have a stinker of a game this year. Hopefully, he'll pull it out or the running game/D will save ND's bacon.
For sure. He will face better defenses that will get to him. Someone with really talented corners will take away Will Fuller. The more tape teams have on Kizer the better they'll suss out his limited playbook. Kizer's not going to carry us to the playoffs on his own. But football's a team game, and hopefully he won't need to.
At the time I thought it was Martini, but I could be wrong.
Different routes and responsibilities, from outside receiver to slot guy. This isn't backyard football. Every rep spent learning the slot would be one less rep learning his future position.
Everyone want's BK and the coaches to develop guys; let them have them for the reps it takes to do so. I think that CJ Prosise is a good indication that they are able to identify guys that would succeed at other positions. If they haven't moved ESB, then there is probably a good reason for it.
Is Fuller the X-receiver?
What is C-Rob? Y?
I thought the slot guys were Amir/Tori/CJ and labeled Z?
My Xs and Os understanding is lacking here. I'm trying to get up to speed. Thanks.

No. I think you are right.......... Robinson is Chris Brown's backup (according to the 2 deep) on the opposite side of Fuller. That depends on formation, though, obviously.
I think you misread his post. He just meant each WR position has different R&R, not that anyone was a slot. You are correct in your slot depth, and yes, Z.
Rivals does a decent job of keeping up on the depth chart and positions. Here's a link to ND's.

TARGET PRACTICE
For the first time this season – and for only the fourth time in the last 16 contests – someone other than Will Fuller proved to be the weapon of choice for a Notre Dame quarterback. And for the second time in that span it was Chris Brown, he of the career-high 11 targets Saturday against Georgia Tech.
Fuller was targeted on eight occasions while rookie Aliz’e Jones finished third with five (three receptions, one fumble). The remaining Irish receivers were targeted just three times (Corey Robinson 2; Torii Hunter 1) with Amir Carlisle benefitting from a pass in his direction for the first time since playing through a knee sprain against Stanford last October. He has not yet been targeted by quarterback DeShone Kizer (43 pass attempts).
The team’s targets through three games are as follows:
Will Fuller: 28 targets, 18 receptions, 5 TD, 1 drop, 22.1 yards per catch
Chris Brown: 22 targets, 14 receptions, 1 TD, 1 drop, 10.3 ypc.
C.J. Prosise: 7 targets, 5 receptions, 1 drop, 6.2 ypc.
Aliz’e Jones: 6 targets, 3 receptions, 1 drop, 1 fumble lost, 6.3 ypc.
Amir Carlisle: 5 targets, 5 receptions, 11.8 ypc.
Corey Robinson: 5 targets, 4 receptions, 11.2 ypc.
Torii Hunter: 4 targets, 3 receptions, 16.0 ypc.
Durham Smythe: 3 targets, 3 receptions, 1 TD, out for season (knee surgery)
Nic Weishar: 1 target, 1 reception, the first of his career Saturday vs. Ga. Tech
Tyler Luatua: 1 target, 0 receptions (pass thrown out of bounds)
What it means going forward: Not much at present, as it’s understandable Kizer would focus on the team’s top two talents on the perimeter. Massachusetts presents an opportunity to become more comfortable with Carlisle, Hunter, and Robinson – and a balance attack will be necessary in two of the three contests that follow.
