People’s brains break looking at a LB depth chart and Ausberry. It’s just this in reality:

MIKE: Bowen - KVA
WILL: Ausberry - KVA
SAM: KVA - Sneed

Sounds like a real Highway to Hell...

No joke, it's a bitch to get back to the highway after a game, I imagine the ACDC concert won't be any better. It drives me crazy when they won't let you turn right out of the stadium parking lot onto Angela so you can get back to the I-80 Turnpike, instead they make you turn left and go all the way through town with more traffic until you can get to the next ramp. I finally quit the traffic jams several years ago and started taking Eddy towards downtown, then turn back north onto Michigan so I can bypass their redirects.

My company was scheduled to be at Eddy St Commons today to work on some projects they asked us to have done before next weeks hike game. When we arrived this morning, the main stretch of Eddy St was blocked off for events they had planned. Paid 8 to load their trucks, head to Eddy St, turn around, and return back to the shop.

Hey were we aware that we currently hold the MacGuffin? By virtue of beating Stanford in the middle of the night in the last game we played.

I didn't realize this was a thing! Apparently they were going to strip us of said title for skipping the bowl game last year, but now we have it back?

Does that say our SoS jumped to 26th??

Something must be off. It also says Wisconsin's schedule is No. 2 toughest which would be surprising since my read on their schedule was that a competent team should win at least 8 games.

When is the last time a team won 11 games in a row by double digits?

I laughed during those first few minutes where they're driving with TJ. Fun video overall!

Miami up 4 spots for blowing out Stanford, ND down 2 for blowing out Wisconsin to the CBS writers. Could have used a 4 spot bump end of last year for such a big task!

ND needed to score more than 4 TDs on 3 second half possessions to not drop in their minds.

Bored at work so here is the DokterEntropy rating for ND & #1 by year since Weis (05)

Some takeaways:
- 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 would all be ND's "best team since the early 90s" - effectively in the middle of a mini Golden Age minus the hardware (so far)
- Prior to 2023, ND would have been on average a 20.1pt underdog to the #1 team in any given year from 05-22, and likely would be even worse with Davie + Willingham.
- 2023-2025 teams were the only teams in the last 20-30 years that would be under a 10pt underdog to the #1 team
- Despite how much the 05 and 06 teams were loved, they still would have been 18 and 11pt underdogs to 05 Texas and 06 OSU
- ND's current 2026 power rating is in-line with the average of the #1 team since 2005.

Miami looked utterly dominant against Stanford. I don't have a problem with them jumping ND right now. Let's see how the season plays out.

They ran up the scoreboard on a team in game 2 of a new head coach practicing a new defensive scheme and not playing safe to keep the game close. Also down a significant amount of players. Nothing about that performance was particularly impressive that should materially change an opinion.

Anyone comparing the two should ask if Wisconsin was playing man coverage with their backup white DB all game if the ND passing stats, or if we were going against a backup OL the sack stats, would have been any different.
