Louisville was the 7th straight game and third in a row in prime time. We were also with what, four healthy WRs? Depth caught up to us. I don’t remember the lead up to the Clemson game but I think we shuffled the OL mid game? Bold strategy
We got porkered in the Clemson game. Estime was going beast the first half and then they stopped using him.

Our line played better after replacing Correll with Craig. Hartman played horribly. The receivers were exposed big time that game. Defense wasn't phenomenal (Mafah ran all over us at times, including for a potentially game ending conversion on their last possession which he ended up fumbling to give us one last shot), but Watts set up one of our 3 touchdowns. You can't throw a pick six and fumble a punt to gift wrap them three points at Clemson and expect to win.

Miami was already scheduled for next year.

This is just the announcement of it being the first game.

Our schedule didn’t get stronger or harder or however you want to describe it.
ND was playing Miami next year regardless.
But didn't Miami back out of playing us at home this year? So we're just playing an away game at their house then calling it good?

It's part of a 7 game series. It was supposed to be @ND 24, they moved it to 26. I hope we schedule those fucks in November.

The teams were originally scheduled to play this season in South Bend, Indiana. But UM had a scheduling conundrum, with five nonconference games slated for four slots this season. Instead, the Hurricanes and Fighting Irish agreed to move the 2024 game to 2026 in South Bend. The teams previously agreed to play at Hard Rock Stadium in 2025. UM and Notre Dame are also scheduled to play in 2028 and 2031 and 2037 in South Bend, and in 2032 and 2034 in Miami.

They did indeed back out of this year.
But I believe ND gets home games 4 out of the 7 next games.
But we know Miami will probably cancel more of them in the future.

I'm hoping Marcus Freeman has the team ready for an insane environment just so they're not completely unprepared like 2017. I know the II guys keep bringing up how crazy and unexpected it was but I don't want to see that kinda boat racing from Miami ever again, especially because we all knew Miami would drop off immediately.

Coming into A&M and handling business is the best indication we have. Box checked.

Next season looking tough. Even the ACC slate with @Pitt, Syracuse, and @ BC in year 2 of Bill O'Brien presents challenges.

10-2 probably the goal for next season considering all the turnover on D + Riley. Almost definitely should be enough to get a playoff birth with that schedule.

Maybe for a MAC team. If ND is sweating these caliber of teams, then they have a lot more problems that we think
The problem would come if we’re not sweating them enough.
It’s hard to be up every week, Pitt doesn’t suck and BC looks to be getting better. Those are bigger trap games than Navy or Army or Ga Tech with its backup QB.

Wouldn't be surprised if the last game is an HBCU between Miami and A&M. Didn't freeman want to play them over an fcs?

Listening to II insider today, talking about next years DL depth, and they had very ominous statements about Onye not being back. Didn’t shut the door but it didn’t sound good. Wonder what he did…

IMO, they'll need 2 DT transfers next year. Hopefully at least one of them has more than 1 year of eligibility left. We can't just keep bringing in guys with only 1 year left to play.

Their opinion was it should be priority 1 for the staff, they need 1 transfer better than Rubio, another as good as Rubio, plus keep Rubio.

I love our D next year.

The secondary will be great again.
The Linebackers will be elite.
The DE position will be special with Traore, Young, Burnham & Thomas.
Rubio is solid & Hinisch will gnaw people’s kneecaps.
They just need one more stud DT that is a difference maker. Without having to spend money on a QB or DE, they should be able to get a pretty good DT.
