They are lucky we are supposed to be very good this year or this home slate would have had rows of empty seats for some of these games in a year with less excitement

They still might. The current availability for the UVA game in November should be concerning for the ticket office. They'll be at the grotto daily praying the team is undefeated heading into that game.

The "i sell my tickets to marquee games for profit" crowd are the ones suffering most

Tiered pricing and seat fees crushed this crowd. I doubt it is even possible to be profitable as a season ticket holder anymore. The bad news is you price some of your best fans out of the market as a result. ND changed ticketing strategy to maximize revenue quite a while ago - selling out does not maximize revenue.

I got on to buy tickets last night and FSU sold out already. I’ll wait for the rest to go on sale for $50 when they know they won’t be sold.

Used to be restricted to 2 tickets for all but the crappy games in the lottery. Now I think you can get 8 or 10 even for FSU. It's great I can get enough tickets for my family of five to sit together. Holding back more good seats for more alums would be a big plus.

Hoping my friends in the registrars and Hr office can hook me up.

I prefer to attend the easy games over the tough matchups. Driving all the way home after a loss sucks.
Idk. There's nothing like the top 25 match ups and the crowd energy, particularly at night.

Also, I've found it to be better to be amongst friends and family in SB to ruminate and vent over a loss than it is being holed up in my house to wallow in my despair haha

Tailgating was definitely my biggest gripe with the 2:30 kick. Stealing an hour of my food and booze time.
You’ll have a new tailgating gripe this year when they force us to zipper park and you can’t pick your tailgate spot anymore. This may be what our group is most furious about.

We’ve tailgated in the same spot for decades and next to the same people. Now we have to somehow magically enter the line at the same time as our tailgate buddies and then get thrown into whatever random spot in the Joyce lot that the parking attendant assigns.

That's brutal, I had no idea. that's definitely going to piss a lot of people off.

I've tailgated in the Joyce lot a handful of times, but my relatives actually park near Ivy Court, right across from that Belmont.

Then you run the risk of driving home after an upset. The 5 hour drive back to Ohio after '93 BC was not fun. Losses are rarely easy, but some I've still had fun at. As heartbreaking as it was, I'd do '05 USC and '23 OSU again because they were that much fun overall. Had an amazing time at both, even though the final seconds of both were a load of bullshit.

I've got a bit of a tradition after every loss where I turn on the local 960 WSBT-AM as soon as I get back to the car, basically so I can listen to the coaches and players' post game comments along with the broadcasters' opinions to see if they match my assessments. It's usually a somber ride in silence just listening to the broadcast. By the time they go off the air I'm usually at peace and hopefully well out of traffic cruising down the highway. If I'm not at the game, I'm probably ranting on IE for about 3 hours after the loss.

If it's a win, not much changes. Still listen to the broadcast, but mostly as background noise as we're a lot more talkative. We usually stop somewhere for dinner right away too so we can celebrate, as oppose to waiting till we get back to the hotel.

It isn't sold out, they just aren't selling single game tickets for FSU to the public. I can log into my alumni account and buy them now if I want.

Interesting ranking from Greg McElroy.

Everyone talks SEC defenses, and Greg is a SEC guy, but he has his top 10 defenses for 2024, & the top four are midwestern schools, OSU, Iowa, UM & ND.

Worst case scenario with Ben Mo I get him ready for obvious passing situations for A and M and then rest him and week after if need be

He’s fine.

He will be full-go by prep week, which is the 26th.
There is no need for him to tackle for two weeks of fall. Just one week of fall practice & one week of prep week.
Fall camp is 31 days. If he doesn’t tackle for 14 of them, who cares?
