On Schrauth, I believe it. In one of the workout videos ND put out. He was shown in a brief clip and he looked absolutely massive. If he has kept his athleticism, he's gotta be a good bet for future early round draft pick.

Oddly he looked relatively thin given his size. He structurally looks like he can add another 25-30lbs of good weight.

Their offense is loaded. They have 3 receivers that would all most likely be our #1, a top 3 TE in football, and one of the better lines they've had in years. All comes down to whether Ewers can get rid of his no show performances.

Marcus Freeman has already matched/ bettered Sark’s best season as a head coach. I’m not holding my breath

Kiffin wound up at Ole Miss too, and Bill O'Brien got back to the NFL. Daboll became OC of the Bills and then HC of the Giants. Locksley became HC of Maryland, not great but still a step up. The only full Alabama OC not to really get a step up was Nussmeier. He was "stolen" by Michigan, then Florida, and now he bounces around as a position coach in the NFL. A bunch of lower moves or lateral ones at best.

Bottom line, our OC coaches haven't made any moves like this to date. It was a good move for his future.

This will be interesting to see how they fill this game with pretty short notice (in terms of scheduling when we have series lined up in the 2030’s).

I imagine they want to replace with a P5 school to enhance the home slate that year with a subpar group of: Florida State, Miami of Ohio, Northern Illinois, Virginia, Louisville and Stanford.

Only two open dates of October 5th and November 2nd. Probably really difficult to find a P5 school to play in the middle of their conference play this late.

The 2024 schedule in general is pretty meh. We open at A&M and close at USC but not much in between except maybe Florida State.
