I haven't done a Friday on campus since Manti played, so I'm not much help. Pep rallies were always fun though if they still do them. Never got to do a tunnel walk, that's on the bucket list. Live it up for the rest of us!

On Friday afternoon there is parking at the Bookstore and Stadium/Joyce lots. Bookstore fills up but there are always people leaving to open up spots. I’ve always been able to find spots at Stadium/Joyce. There are probably other places but I think that’s where most public parking is on Fridays. Saturday is a completely different story.

Eddy Street Commons is just off campus and walkable from that parking. Has some shopping and restaurants, plus another good sized ND bookstore. Has some sit down places and fast food.

Honestly, he wasn't too bad about it. He kind of yelled quickly and "rude" but in hindsight, I know it was because he got excited himself, and knew that he needed me to get down quickly for his granddaughter to see. I think he just acted "quickly".

Keep in mind, this was the 2012 Purdue game and that game was freaking ass - so, we were all pretty shitty mood lol

If you can stay up/there until midnight I believe Drummers Circle should be experienced at least once by a fan. Happens at the steps of the Golden Dome. Get there early, it gets packed.

Along with Shields and the stadium, I would just walk around campus and soak it all in. Especially if your daughter is at all interested in going to ND. The Grotto, the lakes, the Dome (go inside too it's an amazing building). Check out the library too, and the new student center alongside the stadium. And South Quad will be bumpin'. Etc. etc.
On what looks like a lovely Friday afternoon in September, there's really no better place to be in the world, IMO.

Grotto and Basilica all always musts for first timers.
The bookstore for all of your ND attire.
I know Shields Family Hall has certain times they allow for fans to take a look around.
Eddy St Commons has all of your bars and restaurants.

Two buddies and I drove up from Terredise on a whim, polished off a rack of Busch Lattes apiece in the snow covered tailgate lot and proceeded to watch ND lose to Syracuse. Buddy passed out mid 3Q and pissed himself. Went back, hit a couple bars, slept in the car.

The graph is highly assumptive but fun-ish nevertheless. It can be said to indicate whether your team is performing better accumulatively or worse than others. (A good half can raise a bad half.) The key line would be the diagonal line through the center point (I labeled it the "Waterline" --- is your team above or under water compared to the majority so far.) Drawing parallel lines upwards from that, your team gets into higher and higher Air. This, I know is obvious, but I threw it out as precis to showing what our schedule looks like on this basis so far.

I circled our opponents. If graphs like this were congruent with what analysts and voters thought about teams, it shows that we are rooting for a very few teams to make our schedule look good. OK. We knew that. But did we think that Wisconsin (if it continues to improve) would be one of them? or BYU have as much clout as this graph shows? We'll probably send Purdue underwater, but will MSU march on (if they can repair the injuries we did to them?) Can Belichek find any 4-quarter magic? Stanford?Can Angeli find any decent teammates or coaches? A bunch of these teams could get above the Waterline, and we might need them to.

I will say I am not sure if that is schedule adjusted or not. Western Kentucky is the worst team overall judging by that graph, which could be true, but they have had a late Pacific timezone road trip and then Georgia and IU back to back. Hard to judge a CUSA team by that one.
