LF told Sansa about Brienne to play that fear because Sansa does -or at least is thinking about-harming Arya as she sees her as a threat. LF planted the seed and it grew roots when she sent Brienne away. Sansa wants to play the game but is not ready-she looks like a sexy confident ginger one moment and a scared girl the next.

Arya, IMO, has a better understanding of whats going on. I fully expect her to take the face of a LF spy and tell LF something that she'll pass to Sansa beforehand, cementing the Stark sisters against LF. Arya continues to go with Family first.

blue rapsberry slushies

All of Westeros would immediately fall in line with the Night's King, and peace would reign throughout the land.

The Cold Overlord would keep his subjects happy and loyal with delicious, tasty treat. He wouldn't even need zombies anymore, except maybe to serve the product.

Did we discuss that Dany realized Ser Davos wasn't exaggerating when he told her that Jon took a knife to the heart for his people?

When she was in the boat cabin next to his bed, she saw the knife wounds on his body.

I thought it was a pretty cool shot. She was already going to fight the battle that needs fighting, because the Night's King claimed her child, but she now knows that Jon has literally given his life for his beliefs and his people.

Based on how she is built as "A Queen of the People," it's cool to see her realizing that there is at least one other person that shares her desire to help others.

Benioff & Weiss' endgame seems to be "Dany breaks the wheel by inventing parliament and putting Tyrion in charge."

Right? They just flat out admit "yeah, I mean, we don't really know what we're doing and have a warped view of plausibility/realism. #sorrynotsorry"

Nevermind that the entire reason GoT got popular was intricacy and detail in story telling...

Would wouldn't Uncle "Night King" Rico use his magic ice javelin to take out the Fellowship? He knows Jon from Hardhome and has no clue that there are three dragons south of the wall so why save them?

I think he has more knowledge than we're giving him credit for. Is it possible that he has some Three Eyed Raven-lite powers?

I read a theory somewhere that Bran is the Knight King. Had something to do with quantum physics or something.

Eh, maybe. Bran's powers seem to be affiliated with the Old Gods / Children of the Forest religion, and the Children of the Forest were the enemies of the Others.

But we do know that the Night King has some sort of magic and has even forced Bran out of his warged crows.

You seem to be going down the road of "the Night King knew the dragons were coming and his goal was to capture one." That theory does a fine job of explaining his motivations contained within this past episode, but it doesn't make sense when you look beyond that. In order for that plan to work, the NK would have to bait Jon and/or Dany north of the wall in the first place, which he didn't do or even attempt to do. Jon came up with the idiotic "let's catch a wight" by his own damn self.

I agree, it doesn't take into account much of what happened before last episode. But it's a reveal that wouldn't surprise me at the moment

Is there a Maester graveyard North of the Wall?? Where did the big ass chains come from?

Wights Foundry? Because we know how much those wights seem to like heat and fire

I believe someone pointed out a dock or some such structure that had the chains on the lake.

Lady Stone Heart was axed... though the character was there in "spirit" last season via Lem Lemoncloak.

Howland Reed is chillin' at home. His daughter is on her way back to him right now. She mentioned that she was going home to see her father.

LSH was literally axed and dispersed among several characters, notably the Brotherhood.

I think she could, but she didn't care. Like she knows she was scared/forced but said something like "I don't give a shit, I would've died before writing that." That's how I remember the dialogue.

I think Arya is actually in on the idea that Littlefinger is setting all of this up and wants to see whether Sansa chooses Littlefinger or loyalty to Jon. She's intentionally putting Sansa in a high-pressure, uncomfortable situation to see how she reacts.

I believe this 200%. Sansa, while still a little naive, is being tested by Arya. Littlefinger is running the 2 minute offense because he knows time is running out for him.

There is a very good theory on this. That this Brandon Stark is THE Brandon Stark of all ages. And somehow he ends up being the man the CoTF dragon glass into the NK. The idea is that the NK (Bran) is coming down to kill himself before it gets to that point, thus ending the cycle.

I believe that the others are tied to the history of magic in the world and exist to balance some force. The dragons unbalance the equation and while I don't believe his intent was to lure them North, I believe he knew about them and had these spears ready to go in the eventual case of running into them.

I also believe that the Maesters in the citadel, while not in direct conspiracy with the others, are completely anti-magic. And all maesters are sworn to suppress it at all costs. At some point there is going to be a link between the Citadel and the NK. (Think of who built the Citadel and possible theories as to who the NK is).

Ser Waymar Royce was slain by the Others when ranging north of the Wall in 297 AC. Drogon and his brothers weren't born until 299 AC. The theory that the Others started marching in response to the return of dragons to the world doesn't pass the timeline test.

Have you read the synopsis of the first Aeron chapter from TWoW (warning: major spoilers)? I wouldn't bet on the Citadel surviving the next book.

Could it be that the NK could sense the impending rebirth of magic at large?

There have always been priests and magicians, but the Red Priests' powers begin to grow and flourish near the beginning of the story, and then Dany's dragons are born from petrified eggs...

Perhaps they knew that magic was making its return, and that meant it was time to march south?

I don't know why the return of magic would force them to be on the move, unless their own powers were also beginning to grow, and they now had more at their disposal than just "Ice Zombies" and "Fingernail of Transformation."

Why is Jon too busy to send a raven to Winterfell? He's been literally traveling the continent, and it seems like all the kingdoms know of his exploits except his own-- the one that was legitimately leery of sending him away. Just send a raven to check in, bro.

Worst part is that there were so many different easy solutions. They could have gone on with the stupid ranging party storyline while also closing up the gaping plot holes.

Instead they act like none of it matters since dragons and magic exist. "If the audience is willing to go along with dragons who cares about a broken timeline?"

So the Citadel is in no danger?

"But I alrea-"
