So Biden has come out and said tax payers are paying the entire bill? Why wouldn't insurance be on hook?

The stuff I read said that the Feds will cover the construction initially as there will likely be a lengthy investigation and any insurance settlement could be tied up in courts for years. Any insurance settlement would obviously reimburse the Feds.

The Captain wasn't piloting the boat. Are you suggesting that the Captain sabotaged the boat to loose power at a specific moment in time?

This is allegedly the guy who's captaining, who knows what's true.

We won't know what's true for a while, but the "official report" will likely be untrue, per what happens every time there's a tragic event.

I'm just basing it off what I saw at Foxnews at the gym this morning so certainly could be incorrect. I have the faintest idea of how these crews are manned, but an all Indian crew would make some sense as it was on its way to Sri Lanka.

That way you hedge your bets, and say something like "Oh I was just speculating. We all didn't REALLY know what was going on. The official report isn't telling the whole story. Etc. etc. etc......"

You are welcome to wait for the official report in 3 months which will likely be a lie (remember Covid? Malaysian 370? The Ohio train derailments? Etc.). No one will fault you for waiting and assuming you get the truth in July, but this is a developing story with a lot of pieces, some will be true, some will be covered up, some will be false.

It's ok to discuss on a discussion board as new pieces of info come out. You do not have to participate, you certainly don't have to be angry.

Rumor is it was actually the Mayor of Baltimore that planned this in cahoots with Buttigieg. The bridge needed to be replaced but Baltimore doesn't have the money, so they make it look like an accident to get Biden to pay for it. This won't come out for a few months and won't be able to be 100% verified, but.........

What are you stating that you believe in? Because the only thing worse than scraping the bottom of the ideas barrel is being so shameless as to condition it with “who knows I could be wrong”. Put your chest into it. Is it the Ukrainian captain sabotaging the ship? Is it that Lil Mayor Pete brought the bridge down because gay? DEI mayor?
