Had to chime in b/c I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to agree with Irishpat on any other issue. My top two:

1) Bull Durham
2) Field of Dreams

baseball translates to the movies perfectly.

I totally agree...but Billy Madison was stupid. I like Happy Gilmore much better. And "Grown Ups" is a rotting fish corpse that has been soaking in dog **** for 2 weeks. Horrible. Should be banned.

1) Saying anybody other than Pat is the "biggest blowhard" is simply intellectually dishonest. He knows it, we know it. Don't fret though... you are actually #2. The difference between the two is that Pat is a "loveable d!ckhead".... you're not loveable.
2) You could say that I have "aligned" myself with damn near the entire board. You are the only person on here that would accuse being friends with someone as being "aligned" with them. I'm sorry, but are you mad at moderators for stopping your argument? You want to yell at other people on the internet that bad?

If a moderator senses a thread going in the wrong direction, they close it down. Period. End of discussion.

A moderator also has to be aware of every single poster's feelings which isn't an easy task. I was asked to change the title to something more appropriate than "Racist Beatdown". I didn't even need to watch the video to know that was probably an inappropriate title for the thread.

In the end, Lax closed down the thread which he has every right to do. He is just doing his VOLUNTEER job.

I have no idea how this thread got as far as it did though as it serves no real productive purpose.
