Gonna be a good game tonight, but I honestly can't see us winning. Mexico is playing amazing & we aren't playing so amazing, ha.

Never know, but I'm going 2-0 Mexico.

The Galaxy/Earthquakes game is pretty crazy... Ricketts is off with what sounds like a broken arm... his back up is sent off in a very poor red card decision and now McGee of all people is in goal...

Goal! Donovan in which looks like the best team work I've seen out of the US in a long time.

I just want to get to halftime with this still a tie game. All of the early U.S. momentum is gone. Need to regroup in the 2nd half.

Mexico's 2nd goal should have been offsides. Even though Cheap-Burrito never got a touch he still influenced the play by walking it in. That's offsides.

blowing a two goal lead on your own soil against your most hated rival... yeah, this game isn't over, but it's close to...

Tim Howard used to be the strength of the U.S. team, but he seems like he might be finished. He could have, and should have, prevented at least two of Mexico's goals. The U.S. defense has not been good since Cherundolo left, either.

Howard is one of the best four or five American players ever... and he ain't going anywhere for the time being...

Adu looked great at times though,... where the hell has he been for four years???

I'll take that away from this match...

that, and more evidence that there are far too many people living in this country, using it's resources, enjoying it's freedoms, who hold this country in contempt and enjoy seeing it fail... in anything.

**** them. (See the signature)

LeBron would have walked off the pitch without shaking hands. And in this case, I might have enjoyed that.

Not having Holden, Onye and Jozy (three of our best players), and losing Boca didn't help...

honestly, it's nice just to make it this far and have a two goal lead in this thing all things taken into perspective...

we have a long way to go to catch Spain and Germany... but as late as the late 1990's we had no buisness playing with England, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, any of them... now we are in the thick and have played with and beaten most of that class in the past few years, that rate of growth has been rarely seen historically.

and imo, we play Mexico healthy ten times, it's prob. 5-5ish... even with Chicharito ( I actually like that kid he seems classy thus far and is a huge breath of fresh air on a team made up lately of nothing but cheap shot thugs)

congrats to the team regardless, I may have issue with some of their people in this country, and am not ashamed of it regardless of the PC police... but I also am madly in love with one who shares their heritage and my daughter as well... congrats to them.

The fact that our Olympic team is going to be so stacked, especially at forward, is a great sign for the future. I'm glad to see Freddy Adu's Redemption.

America is a nation of immigrants. Each immigrant is allowed to take pride in their heritage. Love it, share it, blend it in with American culture. When you live in America, however, you're now an American. You don't still cheer for whatever country you left to come here. If it was so damn great why did you leave it in the first place? Cheer for America.

I'm ****ing furious with that display last night by the back line. I ****ing hate Mexico, I ****ing hate their fans. I ****ing hate the Rose Bowl being a home game for Mexico. I ****ing hate the way last night turned out. I'm not in a good mood still, today, after eleven hours of sleep.

We got to the Gold Cup finals, but I think BB should be gone. He has had a good run as manager, but his time is up. It's not that he did a bad job, but mistakes such as putting & keeping Boreinstein on and not making impact subs has hurt us ever since he started. We struggled all tournament and even though we did finish second, we didn't have a good performance. No team in CONCACAF should come close to us besides Mexico.

Bring in someone (foreign preferably) to bring excitement to the program.

Look I used to be on the fire BB and nepotism bandwagons, but I've come around to some conclusions. Mike Bradley is our best CDM, even better than Jones, and he should be first choice at that position. Bob Bradley works because he's American. The psyche of American players is different then the rest of the world. You need an American to be managing to get that out of the players, which Bob has done in the past. If you go foreign you're losing our one edge, the American spirit in sports (work ethic, determination) but hopefully we'll also be brought up a skill level. Essentially, we are trading qualities for new qualities if we go foreign right now. I really don't know what we should do, I want to say Bob has had his time, but Sunil is never going to fire him, so he's ours.

The thing is we don't have American work ethic. Bradley's teams are lacking a fire that is necessary for beating talented squads. Right now we have maybe the most talented team in US history besides maybe the 2002 World Cup team. We shouldn't be giving up 4 straight goals to a rival. We need a whole renovation of the USSF. Gulati and Bradley should be out, bring in Jurgen Klinnsman as director of soccer and let him hire a coach.

I said he's brought it out in the past, it certainly wasn't present last night, and there are certainly benefits to having an American coach, just like there are benefits to foreigners. Soccer is much different in America than anywhere else in the world, and coming up through the system and understanding the mentality of American soccer players is a benefit of American coaches. It does appear to be time for a change, like I said.

At halftime of the Chi vs NY match today, Alexei Lalas and another dude made a great point...you can blame Bradley for replacing Cherundolo with Bornstein and switching Lichaj from right back to left (or the other way, I can't remember) but you can't blame him for the disappearing act of the US's "leaders" in the second half. Where was Lando's pace and so called leadership abilities in the 2nd half? Dempsey's on ball skills and ability to find space? Bocanegra organizing the back line? Tim Howard organizing the back line or making a crucial save? All coaches do in professional sports is pick the line-up, the rest is up to the players. Professional coaches/managers don't give big rah rah speeches at halftime anymore. Barca wins b/c they have the best collection of players in Europe not b/c Pep G is a great motivator. Same with Spain/German/Netherlands national teams. Mexico is just simply better than the US right now.

Also, the US has tried to get Klinsmann in the past (twice) but they won't pay him or give him total control of the federation, so he declines.

That's all true, it's not totally BB's fault, but where does the blame lie? When you take over a project improvement is expected. Bob had that going for him for a long time, but it just doesn't seem to be there anymore. That's why they do plenty of coaching changes in soccer, so things don't get stagnant. Bob's performance didn't lose the match last night, but he is ultimately in charge, and the responsibility comes with the position. Has Bob taken us as far as he can? I don't dislike him, he did a great job, but we blew a two goal lead in a final. That's bad in any sport.
