Well gents, Belgium is obviously the better squad, even without some key players out there, but y'all are going to get a couple key chances here in the second 45. You're in striking distance after the Tillman beauty. 2-0 would seem nearly impossible. Down one you just need a bounce to go your way and it's a new game!

Really curious to see how second half substitutions are going to play out. What is Belgium going to cook up to exploit the leaky American defense? And what is USA going to do start really pressuring with their speed among the wings and attackers?

Hopefully one of the three host countries makes it out of the Round of 16!

Never saw Pulisic play a poorer half. Several other guys were half-there as well. Balogun looked OK+ like himself and there was that blast for Tillman, but otherwise .... Antonie Robinson also seems sleepwalking. Dest actually for me at least was hustling hard. Belgium had a plan to double on him. ... but Pulisic ... whew ... really bad, almost walking around on defense like he was a big star.

Very frustrating first half. Like watching a BK ND team. Defense needs to get it together, our passing needs to be way sharper, and Pulisic has to step up and be a real leader out there. He's looked pretty soft and timid out there and didn't look that great last week either.

Desperately want to get excited , but constantly reminded why soccer isnt popular in the U.S. Players seem more concerned with making it look like the guy behind them is tripping them, than just being aggressive and attacking. And somehow it is cool for Belgium to grab US players on every play, but the US responds with zero fire and plays like they are running a prevent D . Would think we were the away team.
