I don’t think it was the most skillful or talented match by any means but that had everything you want in a match in terms of entertainment:

• An island nation of 500K in their first World Cup against the defending champs
• Some great goals. Messi’s first touch was insane. The golazo by Cabral to equalize 2-2 is candidate for goal of the tournament
• The massive underdog kept fighting back
• Cape Verde didn’t just sit back 11 men in the box like some significantly larger nations (cough Australia cough) have done against superior talent

Maybe not from a pure soccer perspective but as a casual fan? It was like if some random G5 had a CFP game against Ohio State and took them to overtime. Once Morocco pulled their heads out of their ass after getting caved in the first half, the match went as you'd expect. A quality goal by Morocco and a pair of follow ups after Canada had to abandon their structure and put players forward to press for the tie.

I think a team just a step up from Canada (a USA, Columbia, Switzerland level team) would have beat that #6 ranked Moroccan team today. They were not impressive for about 70 minutes of that game.
