From last night to that was like a garlic butter ribeye with perfect scallop potatoes and onions to a banquet microwave Salisbury steak,… both got the job done but the quality and enjoyment was wildly different

Japan deserved that draw. Great match.

I enjoyed Scotland vs Haiti. A lot of back and forth. Scotland looked quite good going forward. I was surprised at how Haiti was committing players forward as frequently as they did.

Germany gave us the first glimpse of why expanding the WC field could be a bad idea competitively.

It would seem that one of the best performances so far has been by a teenager from Morocco who is now at the top of every transfer rumor popping up in the last few days.

Was at the Scotland-Haiti game. What an amazing scene. The Scots obviously turned out but there were a lot of Haitians there too and they don't get to see their team very often. Everyone was having a blast. The only thing I could compare the atmosphere to (of course) was a really really big college football game.
As for the game, Haiti was aggressive and fun (except when they were trying too hard to draw fouls in the second half). Scotland could have played better in the back; also could have scored another goal or two with a couple of breaks. Hard to envision either of those teams beating Brazil or Morocco but maybe Scotland sneaks into the Round of 32 regardless.

They're taking 3rd place teams now. Scotland definitely has a shot.

Is he from Morocco though? Ha, I agree though. He'll garner a hefty transfer fee for Lille.

I don’t wanna mush it by posting but we’ve got a situation in Spain - Cabo Verde worth turning into 👀

I hate those games where a really crap team parks the bus gets 0-0 and cries on the field like they just won the whole thing,
There should be a rule that if you can't get possession (actual contol of the ball) in the opponent's half for even once in a 5 minute period you lose a player.

General sentiment so far - South America overpeforming underperforming, Africa overperforming, and Europe still jet-lagged.
