like not to be mean but there whole football culture is about not being classy and basically taking motivation from everything. Everyone is an enemy and everything said is noticeboard material.
Jonathan Wilson wrote an excellent book about their football history and i HIGHLY recommend it
Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta, Juan Román Riquelme,…

The last World Cup I read a really interesting piece on the politics of the Argentina national team.
It was crazy.
Basically talking about how certain people of power purposely sabotaged the team & how some of the best players weren’t allowed on the team & others were forced to sit due to “injury.” And even a four year span where players had to pay for security, training & medical staff out of their own pockets. And players basically begging Messi out of retirement to save the team from missing out on their first World Cup, when they needed all wins to finish qualifying, with Messi getting the hat trick on the final day to qualify them in a win or go home situation.
It basically talked about the Argentina “golden era” that should have been from 2010-2018 was ruined by the FA in Argentina. They kept making it to major finals without funding, friendlies, practices, & often their best players (outside of Messi), but we’re scene as failures.
Between ‘14 & ‘22, Argentina went to all 4 Copa Finals & 2 of the 3 World Cup Finals, without Tevez, and often times without DiMaria, Higuan, Ageuro, etc…only Messi playing in all the Finals. They didn’t lose any in the 90, only ET or PKs.
Yet their FA didn’t support them and considered them failures.
Now since, with mostly all new players outside an old Messi & often injured older DiMaria, they have won the last Copa & World Cup, with new leadership & coaching that supports the players.
