Barca fell into a trap. A trap set by Chelsea, City and PSG. Barca did things a certain way and it worked for them, but they decided to do things differently and now they're screwed.

Depends, are you a super fan of one of the teams? If not then probably not as the only Americans to follow are Pulisic and sporadic appearances by Sargent and Steffens. Bundesliga is probably the best league for causal fans, as it has the most Americans and outside of Bayern it is the most competitive across the board.

If you're a fan of one of the top 6 or 7 EPL clubs, it's probably not worth it. You'll see 30-32 of the games on NBC or NBCSN. I made a business decision to cancel this off-season since I tended to skip Spurs-Burnley or Spurs-West Brom to spend more time with family.

If you're a fan of a team below the top 7, yeah it's probably worth it. I'd imagine for the Crystal Palace's and Brighton's of the league close to half the games are on Peacock.

Eventually, they will start moving bigger games to Peacock which they've only done so far very, vary rarely. Then it'll be worth it for everyone.

As much as I want it to be Man U, I think they need to show this consistently. That's been their issue the past few years. They will show out against some teams, then lose to Crystal Palace or something.

I don't think Manchester United are going to go the distance with their current manager. The squad is better on paper and that should help them mitigate his shortcomings but the deeper they get into a run as mathematical contenders, I wouldn't put money on them having the mental fortitude to handle the pressure required to maintain a title run. Too many guys on that squad run hot and cold. Pogba played well against Leeds but was that because he knows there is time left in the transfer window?

I get the sense Chelsea is going to focus on the Premier League this year after having won Europe. I still think there are some vulnerabilities in the back for them but they obviously have a strong squad. When things go bad, does Little Putin sack Tuchel? That's the history with Chelsea. This wasn't the first time they sacked a manager and the replacement won Europe. DiMatteo was gone the following season when things got rocky.

Citah is very good despite the unusual claims from pundits that they "need" a striker and there is any kind of underdog factor. It's nonsense. They're going to compete for all four trophies again with or without Harry Kane. I think Spurs are more fun to watch without Kane and I think Jesus is a fine player. That's just me, though.

Don't know where Napoli comes into the the picture. Maybe 4th and the dark horse to those three? If Inter are liquidating again all bets are off. Losing Lukaku hurts.

It came from nowhere, which is why I think we still may see an incoming player before this window closes. Others have come from nowhere too. Michael Edwards keeps the business end tidy. Not many legit leaks. Like a good White House.

I think they paid more for Jota than they did Salah. If that is correct, the most underrated purcahse ever is a no brainer. Salah is still underrated by pundits and even within the Liverpool fanbase. If he were English (or a white European guy) playing in London or Manchester he'd be hyped more. They need to sign him to a new contract and keep him for the rest of his prime years.

I'm not too worried about Bobby. He runs the opposition ragged for 60 minutes, then Jota comes in for the last 30 and scores on whatever legs they have left. Jota just makes the front three a front four, and they are clearly a bonafide front four now because Jota is absolutely the goods. Jota is also a left winger first by trade so he shouldn't be expected to do what Bobby does because few really can anyway. He'll get there. Still, Jota does have that energy where he runs around without the ball relentlessly and puts pressure on the opposition. He's 24 and should be with the club for years to come.

Bobby is also going to be playing in front of crowds again, and he's a showman who enjoys those atmospheres be it home or away. Hence there is no goal like a Bobby goal and Covid really sucked playing in front of empty seats.

I already mentioned, no team in the Premier benefited from a single transfer than Chelsea did with Lukaku. Their leading league scorer last year was Jorginho with 7(!) goals. In all comps, Timo and Tammy had a combined 12. Id put Chelsea as the favorite, with United just behind them. Don’t rule out Liverpool either, who ended last year on a hell of a run, and were the prior season champs almost breaking 100 points. I’m thinking (and hoping) that this is the first time City finishes outside the top two since 16-17.




Celtic FC has looked real good after a strong string of transfers, with more on the way. Furuhashi has been absolutely stellar so far, if he keeps it up he could be jumping to a top 5 league next year. 2-0 win agains AZ Alkmaar today until he first leg of the Europa Playoff. I really feel like they can advance past group stage this year if they hold it together in the 2nd leg next week.
