I think what happens with Liverpool will depend wholly on what Coutihno does and if he stays. If he stays, we need two out and out strikers, a true left back, a right back to challenge Cline and at least two physical CBs. Sturridge is gone and Origi is not a starter. He just isnt and seems to suffer from what Jozy suffers from. A big physical guy who cant impact a game for large spells.

If Coutihno leaves, Liverpool may need to overhaul the squad to handle the PL and the CL. They most definitely do not have the depth and quality in midfield to go deep into the CL.

My wishlist (assuming Coutinho stays):
Leon Goretzka - CM - Schalke
Timo Werner - ST - RB Leipzig
Inaki Williams - Wing - Bilbao
Michael Keane - CB - Burnley
Solid left back.
physical striker

With Champions League on their schedule, how can Liverpool sell Sturridge? He may have problems staying fit, but they need him when he is now more than ever.

Celtic's total home league crowd this season was 1,054,044.
Average crowd of 55,476
More than any club in Serie A or Ligue 1.

If they could just. get. out. of. that. league. somehow.

Man U wins the Europa League, much needed to get into the Champions League next year. If you saw the game, you saw the good Fellaini. Kept his cool and played very well. Also, Romero has looked really good the past few times I've watched him.

My hopes for Antoinne Griezmann just went up a ton!

Bookmakers have stopped taking bets on Iker Cassillas to Liverpool. Wut?????!!!! Could be something legit.

Fellaini: The PeaceMaker!!
Fellaini: left everything he had on the field.
Fellaini: Man of the Match (with Pogba and Herrera).

... I once captained a Cleveland city league BBall team. We got the biggest, roughest rebounders we could.
... celebrated with the trophies.

He might replace Manninger in the role of third string/player coach. Surely Ward will go back on loan. Maybe go back to Huddersfield(Klopp's best friend is the manager). They might actually play in the Premier League next year, and it would be great experience for him. He's been great for them this season. Another theory would be that Karius will be sent on loan, and that Mignolet and Cassillas would stay with the team. Silly season is upon us so who knows. One thing is for sure is that I trust Klopp.

Id take Iker over Migs with Liverpool heading into the CL.

Seeing now that there is a reported pre-contract in place with Liverpool.

I hate Mourinho, but you have to respect what he's done as a coach this year. He's imposed his style and he's got that squad humming.

they still play like a bag of shite and are terrible to watch though. Failure to make the CL would have cost him the job i reckon

Do you really though? They spend huge money pretty much every year... mind boggling amounts of money at times.... and finished in 6th place this year. The United fans at my work all hate him.

HUGE money, it's true. Average wages nearly DOUBLE the size of even clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham. And they should have done better in the league, but if Mourinho had settled on his first 11 earlier in the season, they would have. He's really got them humming now.

And everyone hates him. Two years ago during Chelsea's title run-in, someone called him the Floyd Mayweather of soccer. I thought it was such a great comparison. Mourinho is entirely unlikeable in every way and his teams are not fun to watch -- but I respect the craft. Once he settled on his first 11 and got the team organized and playing the way he wanted, he saw that he was probably too far behind in the top 4 race and settled on an alternative goal of reaching the Champs League, and he succeeded. It wasn't pretty, but he got it done. So I do respect that, although I dislike him.

But I am giving him credit for being in a transitional season ... if Man U aren't genuine title contenders next year, that will be bad, considering the money spent.

Agreed on the above. Prior to him coming to United, I hated him. Smug and arrogant (it doesn't help when you manage Chelsea). However, he manages the team I root for so I am going to go with it. He's done decent with some of the injuries that occured and once he got his eleven figured out, it's been pretty good going.

I am eager to see what he does with the transfers that come in/leave this offseason.

After being outclassed by Chelsea the Red Devils really went on a nice spring run. Over a 10 game period they were +11.7 in xG without being negative in any game.

But they were just +0.1 xG over the last 5 games, quite poor.

Offensively it's crazy how they will struggle to get to 1.0 xG in most of their games. Could be glass half full or empty depending on your perspective.

True, I'd just add that he rarely fielded his best 11 in the Premier League during the run-in because he was prioritizing the Europa League.

Which is the sort of thing that I hate as a neutral fan but that I might respect if I were a Man U fan. Certainly, last year when Liverpool were making a deep run in the Europa League, I wanted Klopp to prioritize the Europa League so we could give ourselves the best chance of Champs League football in the fall. And it would have paid off it weren't for that pesky Alberto Moreno ruining things as he tends to do.

Casillas to Liverpool isn't going down. Klopp thinks he can go forward with Mignolet, Karius and Ward. I think he'd be right.

Only Mourinho is hypocrite enough to consider this past season, his Mickey Mouse Treble, a success. Be it by his standards or Manchester United's. I am particularly amused by United fans trolling Arsenal fans for being in Europa League next year. United just won the competition a few days ago.

Really want to see who PSG, City and Bayern buy. Really want to see who Monaco, Leipzig and Lyon sell.

Benjamin Mendy too, it seems. Already €100 million spent and it's not even June yet.

Looks like Monaco is going to make €200+ million from the sale of 4 players.

If mendy is coming, i don't think it will be today. I like mendy, but i'm gonna hold out on my alex sandro pipe dream as long as possible haha

edit: maybe i spoke too soon about mendy, i wouldn't be shocked if him+silva are official in the next 24 hours

Liverpool have agreed a £48M fee (excluding potential add-ons) for Naby Keïta according to reports in Germany.

I like this.
