Yep, reminds me of Scott Brown...

Scott Brown has been Celtic for years now... he's the guy... He's our captain and very much like Vidal in style of play... he gets criticized all the time for not scoring more goals... lol

It's true in general about goals though, of all the things Brown has accomplished, most people remember him for his owning of El-Hadji Diouf while scoring a big goal against Rangers after Diouf called him out in the press. It was the stuff of legend.... lol

Couple of reasons, in my opinion. He plays for Bayern and previously played for Juve. Both are loaded national teams and he's not in England.

Second, he is from Chile. If he were from Brazil or Argentina, I think that makes him a bit more mainstream.

That Chile team is loaded too. I think Chilean players are severely underrated in general. I wouldn't be surprised if they make a serious run in 2018 depending on their draw. Might be the last tournament for them to make noise with Vidal, Sanchez, Bravo, Vargas, and company.

They've been very good for a while now... I believe they have drawn Brazil in two straight WC knockouts tho, back before Germany broke them... now they can't 'Brazil' anymore...

I've had a crush on Vidal since he was at Leverkusen. He used to give me many headaches while playing fifa.

He's a fantastic player. If he was in the Premier League, he'd probably be the best player on....70% of teams? He'd start on probably every team in the world. Barca and Real maybe not...toss up there..

Like others have pointed out, since he is from Chile he probably doesn't get enough love. I'd definitely want him in a pickup game.

Lost to Brazil in the Round of 16 on PKs in 2014. Won the last 2 Copa Americas defeating Argentina in the finals both times. Chile is just massively underrated by many because of Argentina and Brazil, and that's a shame.

We were all proud Chileans on June 18th of last year... I'll tell you that much right now.

That's an interesting hypothetical. I would actually argue that Barca could really use Vidal right now. Atletico bossed midfield for most of yesterday's game, definitely dominated the first half, and was unlucky to lose. Barca really needs a midfield engine/pit bull .... But Real's midfield of Casemiro, Modric and Kroos is so good ... hard to see how you improve on that.

On a side note, I know we live in the age of alternative facts and alternative reality, but someone needs to mention that winning the Community Shield and League Cup doesn't mean Zlatan has conquered England.

Another work horse in Serie A is Radja Nainggolan. The dude is very similar to Vidal, but I would argue his finishing is stronger, cleaner. And he smokers cigs like a chimney, so I could only imagine his potential without smoking.

Truly one of my favorite players in the world. I am with you .... Nainggolan is that rare midfield destroyer who also has the quality to score exquisite goals. But no matter how many tweet storms I orchestrate, Klopp never moves to buy him. It's weird.

Speaking of, what the hell happened today, Klopp? Heading into today LFC's record on more than 4 days' rest has been outstanding. I fully expected them to snag all three points. But that managers-sacked bounce is no joke. Leicester rolled the clock back to a year ago today.

Crazy how bad liverpool plays against bottom half teams.

Milner and Lucas are midfielders covering the left side of the back four. Shows their transfer policy I guess. Can't fault Lucas. He has no business marking Jamie Vardy.

Liverpool shows no energy against the bottom half and Leicester showed more energy than they have in months.

Jordan Henderson is incredibly valuable to Liverpool and how they play. His absence was noted.

He's so good. Playmaker that should be deployed behind a two forward front. Very creative.

Not to take away from Naingolan's ability because he is absolutely one of my favorite mids in the world, but part of why he has so much freedom to play the way he does is because he has one of the best CDMs ever in Danielle De Rossi providing cover for him.

Agree on all counts.

LFC have a lot of quality, and their first 11 is excellent, but any absences from that first 11 throw the balance of the team off. Henderson and Lovren were missed. And I love James Milner but we need a left back. Klopp needs to make some changes in the off-season.

There were massive holes in the LC midfield early in the game, and LP didn't exploit it. Vardy's first goal, was an above average run/pass, and Lucas was really only a step late. I wouldn't blame him too much, he played well overall. The most remarkable part of that play, was that the pass came from Albright who is a shyte player. That pass was the highest quality play I have ever seen him make. He is a very pedestrian player, I could have a go in that side and make more of an impact than him.

Once Drinkwater scored, and in that fashion, I knew it was over. It was simply the day fate turned LC luck around. Thats all it was.

AS Roma is my favorite team. Totti was my childhood hero, and De Rossi was my model player once I entered adulthood. Me and the wife are looking at possibly going to Stockholm for the EUROPA Final if Roma makes it to that game.

That's true, but he was pretty good at Cagliari without him prior to coming to Roma. Amazing what a little horse power will do for a guy.

He played in 137 matches at Cagliari and scored 7 goals with 6 assists. At Roma he's played in 145 matches with 25 and 14.

Dare I say dip into the Southampton bin again? Bertrand at left back and van Dijk at center back? The left of the back four needs serious fixing. Mignolet and Karius wouldn't look as bad as they do. Milner will do what you ask of him, but he's a 30 year old center mid playing left back in the Premier League. It's a lot to ask. Joe Gomez is young and coming off a serious injury. He's a depth guy for now. I think Lovren is a bench guy too or he needs to be sold. He's nothing without Sakho or Matip.

I think Klopp is going to want to go younger and cheaper. CB Jonathan Tah would be a good buy. Saed Kolasinac will be available on a free but everyone will want him. I think Adam Masina of Bologna is a young, undervalued player they could get cheap.

Without Champions League, they'll be screwed. They'll have to go for the youngsters and cast aways.

van Dijk is a very good CB fit in the PL. Before getting Mustafi I was hoping Arsenal would take a look at him. He'd be a good replacement for Mertesecker, but he sees too much playing time with Southampton to want to be relegated to 3rd/4th choice with Arsenal.

I think they will make top 4. And it will be glorious to see what Klopp can bring in. Kolasinic is a legit possibility, he knows what Kopp is all about, and played with Matip. Schalke has loads of fun players.
