Damn it!! I love to watch the Confederation Cup, and it would be so much more enjoyable if the most powerful, largest CONCACAF country would fucking show up.

Worst year in modern history... The myth of Jurgen crumbled pretty quickly...

Pathetic match. I don't know cr@p about soccer but conceding the field to the opponent doesn't seem like a really good strategy.

No he fuckin has not! please tell me what he has done that either of his predecessors did not... And this is currently the worst I've ever seen the USMNT.

He got us out of the group of death in the world cup. I know we only made it to the next round and it wasn't a precedent for this team or anything, but it was an achievemnet considering everyone wrote this team off. Notched Historic wins at Italy, Netherlands, at Azteca, and against Germany twice.

I agree this is a horribly bad year, but then again he's also responsible for the best year in US soccer history too. Also this was only his first loss vs Mexico. I just don't understand why he went against his mantra of implementing young talent develop the team.

I don't know, but his job security definitely took a hit and he will be feeling some serious heat now after the past few months.

But guys just remember, the US is not a great soccer program. We never win the possession battle and always have to rely on capitalizing on our few chances we get each game. I feel a lot of the Klinsmann hate is similar to Bo Pelini at Nebraska; no offense, but what the h*ll are your expectations and where are they coming from???

For anyone wanting to keep Jurgen, I would love to hear why...

The goal after the WC was win the GC... Fail.

Then the goal was win tonight... Fail

And look horrible on both occasions...

What's the goal now? What are we trying to accomplish under this guy? Qualify for 2018?? This was such a massive opportunity wasted I don't even know where they go from here...

Great, he won a bunch of practice games that didnt count... And in the WC he didn't do anything Bradley and Arena didn't do before him...

Fantastic, this all justifies the past year how exactly? Again he was going to be this massive upgrade,... We are worse now than we ever were under Bob Bradley. He also allowed the same hole of a nation that beat us tonight to qualify for the last WC out of complete Fvkin stupidity... That alone was an unforgivable sin.

I has a sad still and still don't know how I feel about Jurgen. I wish there was a way US Soccer could retain him as the Technical Director but get a new coach. He has done great things for US Soccer, but I don't think he is the guy to take them to the next level anymore from a coaching perspective.

Our player pool is deeper than it has ever been, but it has 2 key problems being a) its very deep, but very average, and b) the talent that could take us to the next level is still young. The US lacks a key player on this team who can just make that one play of individual excellence. What Fredy Adu should have been is what the US needs to reach the next level. That, and to elevate the overall level of their deep player pool.

Totally agree. I love what Jurgen has done with U.S. Soccer generally, but what's happening on the field just isn't good enough lately. To come out in a big game with a lineup boasting a lot of veterans and get thoroughly outplayed like we were Saturday ... unacceptable. That game seemed to have no plan from a U.S. perspective. For example , how was Dempsey so isolated? Your best player needs to be actually involved in the game.

On the other hand, I don't want to blame Jurgen for the fact that maybe we just lack players of a certain quality. Other than maybe Dempsey, we just lack the guy who is capable of that moment of magic that you need.

Fabian Johnson sent home from USMNT camp by Jurgen Klinsmann |

Today will likely go down as the day Klinsmann officially “lost the locker room,” as the old saying goes. It’s one thing for Klinsmann to constantly blame his players for their collective shortcomings (meaning that of the players and coach), while taking little or no real responsibility himself. It’s completely different for Klinsmann to publicly call out a player of Johnson’s stature for, essentially, making up an injury in order to quit on the team.

That that player is Johnson, one of Klisnmann’s very first German-American recruits from 2011, only shows how severe the fracture(s) inside the USMNT camp may very well be (becoming). Creating a divide between “them” and “me” was only going to take so long before an explosion of Monday’s proportions occurred.

I read where Johnson took himself out of the game in the 111st minute. Klinsman was going to put in Wondo with his last sub but since Johnson had to come off he put in Evans.

It's crazy. Johnson was coming off an injury and hadn't played a full game for his club team and then he gave 111 minutes against Mexico.

Team really looked horrible, especially the two defensemen in the center back, and some guy named Williams. Zardes seemed trying hard but doesn't seem well used in a position in the middle rather than outside where he can run. Howard looked athletic. Reim wasn't too bad nor Evans. Wood looked like something good might happen there and so too with Nguyen. Altidore seemed like he should be put to pasture. That young tall blond-headed guy seemed to have some talent. Incredibly spotty play with almost no offensive creativity. Really hard to watch the whole thing but I did. I've decided that if Bradley is not playing I might have to watch something on another channel next time.

It's time to move on, it's clearly regressed to a point where no one expected at the end of the WC

This has the eerie feeling at the end of the Bruce Arena Era. Any of y'all remember right before Bradley too over.... every game, Arena was just sitting cross legged on the bench looking flummoxed, lackadaisical and disinterested. Like his team....

I think this was his last game. It is sad to me because he was definitely the best man for the job at the time but ever since he essentially ended Landon Donovan's career he has just made poor decision after poor decision. If America wants to be taken seriously as a soccer country, he needs to be fired. If they are okay with being the second best team in the region and just making the Round of 16 most World Cups with occasional misses, he will remain.

Dead serious, might be a good time to swoop up Mourinho. He has said he wants to coach in the US someday.

I don't think the team looked this bad at the end of the Arena era even though everyone knew his tenure was coming to an end. This team looks horrible and I feel like JK isn't going anywhere. I hope I am wrong.
