It protects players from bad fouls,... I would leave it but add retroactive yellows for clear dives...

Either three or they need to reset it after the group stage.

Leroux on for Wambach around 55th minute will open up the game. She is slow, has no skill on the ball, and is not making any of the right runs. I hate being overly critical of this team but their mistakes are glaring unlike past Olympic or World Cup teams.

They're an entirely different team since then, it's sad because they're a more talented team now, IMO you nailed it, the coaching/scheme is pretty hamfisted...

It just sucks that you can have 2 yellows in a span of 4 games, and then miss a 5th. If it was adjusted to 3 or even 2 in back to back games, then it's more reasonable.

I don't think Abby will ever play another game for the US. She might play in the next couple but she really doesn't deserve it. She has had an excellent career, but her "retirement to train for the world cup" is clearly negatively affecting her play, as well as her age.

From post-group stage and still dead on accurate. Regardless of result Jill Ellis needs to be fired it's astounding how wrong she got it. It'll be itneresting to see if missing Rapinoe and Holiday leads against China leads to any sort of tactical formation change.

That article is excellent. Lloyd is clearly not being put in a position to succeed. The mids and horribly sloppy possession are killing the offense. I've loved the defense, tho. It's been stellar.

This has been a long time coming. If you've watched this team since she's been hired, it's been crappy performance after crappy performance (sure, mixed in with some nice wins, but NOTHING like the talent on hand should be playing/dominating). I've been out on her for quite some time.

I can't even watch them with my wife (she walked on at ND) bc all she does is bitch about how bad they look lol. And its true. They can't string passes together, and when they get in the opponent's half of the field, they try to make almost every pass the 'final pass' (meaning the assist for a goal) instead of working the defense, making them rotate, making them work, etc. It's maddening.

Just start Morgan and Press, or Morgan and Sidney please. If we're going to lose, at least put your best looking line-up out there (but seriously, that should be the starting pairing).
