The family name is Scottish and while I am always much more proud of teh American part of the 'Scottish American' I still had to follow the home country...

I couldn't stand with the bigotry of Rangers and others towards the Irish Catholics even though I am neither... so i went with Celtic and have been a fan ever since...

I keep hearing Wanyama as well... they had a young striker today... forget his damn name that looked flat out electric, he came in for Samaras (who looked damn good as well) near the final 20... more than anything I am just excited I can watch a Celtic game or two on legit HD Tv rather than these horrid live streams...

The above explaination is also why i pull for Newcastle... The Scot in me can never bring myself to root for England but about five years back it just became close to impossible to see Celtic anymore.... so i decided I HAD to find an EPL club to root for... I can't go for either Manchester and all the other clubs are too far south... lol... but newcastle has a great fanbase, good history and they are about as Scottish as any EPL club gets (at least that i know of)... so there you have that.

http://www.vipbox.tv/sports/football.html(If im not aloud to post these *kinds* of websites please mods delete this post)

Has never let me down for about a year and a half now*knock on wood*(obviously Man city bigger draw then Celtic, but thought id pass it along)

I've fallen in love with the Premier League over the last five years, and have begun to save up money to travel to England to see all the stadiums I watch week in and week out. St James' Park is a magnificent stadium and will be at the top of my list.

I'm really pulling for NUFC or EFC to break into the top four this year. I know Everton is a long shot, but they look great to start of the season. However, with the reinforcements Chelsea have got and Spurs look to be getting in the final days of the transfer window its looks an impossible task. Best of luck though

Not arguing, simply stating my understanding... MCU is a bigger draw after last year... I would honestly say that Celtic is a bigger draw year to year, decade to decade than any EPL team save Liverpool and Man U... they have that elite of a fan base globally... do you see the recent net worth rankings for teams??? Celtic's ranking/write up was especially interesting.

After rethinking you're right Celtic obviously has a bigger following then MCFC. I guess what I meant to say was that it's easier to find a good HD quality stream of a Manchester City match because the Premier League is broadcasted in just about every country. My mistake

Funny you should say that. I was on my honeymoon in Italy and my wife and I were sitting next to a group of travelers who ended up being from New Castle, but their dialect was so Scottish that when I began our introduction, I asked them were they from Scotland, and they looked at me like I had two heads and may even have been offended initially,....... and then they bought us a round of New Castle and it was on from then on. We all drank ourselves into a coma. Probably the most hungover I have ever been in my life. I introduced them to Jager bombs and they bought the pints. It was awesome. Anyway, they still sound Scottish to me. :)

My best friend is a magpie and he loves to give it to me about the Carroll deal. But I got him back big time. I was the best man in his wedding and unbeknownst to him at the time, I had him and his wife dance to the "You'll Never Walk Alone" song. He did not realize until about half-way in and he was alone with his wife on thedance floor. Priceless. Boo-ya..

1.) I have actually met NCFC supporters from Newcastle during my travels... I'm not saying this is uniform, but it is unifrom to my experience... they all consider themselves more in line with Scotland and also can't root for anything from the south... love it... lol

2.) Why would you play Celtic's song to get at your best man??? Oh I forgot, Celtic let's you guys use it too...

;)

Group A is interesting also, no one that makes you think the winner will come out of it, but four very solid teams, maybe the most balanced of all groups... Group B is pretty weak...

How much you want to bet Real doesn't make it out of group??

I'd love to see that happen. Manchester City is pretty much a lock to advance. Could easily see Borussia Dortmund pull of an upset or two, they were great last season

Nice! He was so mad. Stuck dancing with only his wife on the floor to that song. Oh man I am still waiting for the retribution because I know it is gonna be bad.

So Group D is group of death then? Yes? I think RM and Borrusia Dortmund come out of that but it will be goal differential for the 2nd team. BD is playing hella football recently.

I saw Man City won... dang
I was following Man U and Southampton on ESPN and decided to stop following at the 80th minute when Southampton was up 2-1. Looked just now and saw RVP finished the hat trick with a goal in the 87th minute and the second minute of extra time. Put us a point behind Man City lol

If we beat Antigua 3-0 or something like that we should be through... another 1-0 or a draw could make that Guatemala game all or nothing.

JUSTICE FOR THE 96! Finally, the Hillsborough Independent Panel released their findings today, indicting the South Yorkshire Police, and exposing the vast coverup instigated in the days following. It's ****ing sickening and atrocious what happened to these poor families for over two decades. Blaming football supporters and making up disgusting lies to hide fault. LFC supporters have been vindicated.
