That's the first time City have dropped any points this year from a winning position in the league. Had 1-0 and 2-1 leads.

Levels, dude. FFS.

Liverpool will have lost the title due to draws with Brentford and Brighton from winning positions and that loss to a depleted Leicester is without question the one that will haunt them.

City leave zero room for any error, which is why when I see pundits saying Man United need three transfer windows to catch City and Liverpool, I have to laugh.

I certainly puts into perspective how long it will take before Newcastle are in position to dethrone them too.

IMO, Newcastle are in a much better position than United.

They just have to build a squad. United have to gut theirs, which is near impossible due to their wage structure, THEN build a squad. Instead of bringing in a manager and building a squad in his vision, their new manager (likely Ten Hag) will be hindered by the nonsensical squad that's been assembled by a combination of 4 other managers. That will make it hard to get results, and probably result in another managerial move in 18 months. Rinse, repeat. That club has officially run aground. It is nothing more than a corporation going forward.

I am in agreement with you there. The pundits suggesting that Ten Hag can fix that mess in three transfer windows might be way off the mark. It could take three YEARS to get that thing anywhere close to where City and Liverpool are.

The players United intend to keep need to accept Ten Hag, first and foremost, because I think they are the issue here. They don't seem to want to play for anyone regardless of who it is, including themselves and the supporters, let alone a manager.

Agreed, it's going to take at least three years. The number of players that should be kept are minimal. As much as I hate the diving, you have to keep Fernandes for the chances he creates. Keep one of De Gea or Henderson. Shaw, Rashford, probably Sancho. Let Ronaldo walk on his high wages. I'm all for De Gea leaving, his wages are pretty astronomical as well. Bring up Mejbri, Laird, and whoever else might be ready and give them time to grow.

It'll probably be a five year project and that probably won't be to compete for the PL, that'll be third or fourth. The mindset on this team is just too far gone.

Honestly I don’t see many players at all on that team that ManU quality at the moment. Maybe Bruno and that’s it.

They just gave Bruno new paper, didn't they?

Bruno has nine league goals this season and four came against Leeds, three in the first match of the season. He gives them a lot of minutes and doesn't miss matches, which is invaluable in today's game, but they may want to consider cashing in on him if they can. He's about to turn 28 and in terms of market value I don't know who they have that could yield a bigger transfer free than him. He's really not doing much for them other than a goal against Arsenal and an assist against Spurs. He's failed to show up against anyone else remotely good and have an impact.

Rashford intrigues me. He's 24 and I think there is still plenty there, he's just been up to his neck in this ocean of piss they call a club right now. He needs stability and a good manager to put an arm around him that will get the most out of him. His work off of the pitch speaks for itself and any community would be lucky to have him in that respect. I still think there is plenty there that can be brought out.

Martial on loan to Sevilla. Have to try and find a taker for him, too.

Other than Sancho, go Mad King and burn them all.

Sunday is going to be quite a day.... genuinely just hoping it remains peaceful.

Can we just skip the cup at this point?? Lol I’m so geared for the league this year and there is so much more at stake there than normal that the Scottish Cup seems far less important than normal… tho a treble would be fantastic

He's overrated and they should cash in while they can to anyone that doesn't realize it. Take the money and put it into getting others into the squad.

If it weren't for that first season, I'd think they'd try to get rid of him. I think they'll give him at least another year without Ronaldo to see if he can get back to that form.

Think the league may be in the bag at this point barring a Celtic collapse... (knock on wood)

A treble for Ange after what he inherited is fairytale stuff

It's close but not just yet... Rangers beat us in the meeting and we draw two of the other four games while Rangers win out and they win the league.... it's not highly likely but certainly within the realm of possible. I'm sitting here just WAITING for the next two league games... win those (the second is the last meeting with Rangers) and it's over.

He's in tremendous "moaning at the referee" form, I'll say that.

These La Liga teams love a European tournament.

Villareal is 7th in the table right now.

Wow, Villareal just ousted Bayern.
I hate Nagelsmann's stubborn attachment to his 3-4-3. Has consistently left Bayern vulnerable to counter-attacks. Regardless of how often your team destroys the opposition by 5+ goals, you'll never win a treble dropping every 4th game 1-0 or 1-1. Sometimes you've gotta be able to just play sound fundamental defense and count on Lewandowski to poach you a goal.

Play like Germans play and you'll rarely lose.

They have the talent to win plenty of games by 3+ even with traditional setups. This is why I hated when Pep was there. He wasted a ridiculously talented group by outsmarting himself.

Vila needs to be outed now. If they win the whole thing they take the Scottish champs auto bid away

I've come to realize two things:

1. I enjoy watching Bayern lose as much as I enjoy watching Germany lose.
2. They're pretty much the same damn thing.

Simeone and his players have mental issues. Absolute trash.

I am glad City went through.
While I agree completely with you, I’m not sure what I wouldn’t do to make the next round and all the ones that comes with it. Liverpool have made like $80 mil so far in CL. Have to think I’d time waste and take some yellow cards to get in MCs heads a bit.

Also there are a couple Benfica players that are absolute stars in waiting. Nunez for sure would be a great get for anyone.
