They are one I keep tabs on. I dont trust them as much as my guys but its not unreasonable to think given whats happened. My guys think if Barca ponies up straight 150 mil pounds he is theirs. They apparently offered Arda Turo +130 mil today. FSG declined it.

Plus look at how were are playing right now without him. Its crazy to think but if they sold him it would more than pay for all the business we are doing right now. Liverpool fans are mad AF at Coutihno right now for faking that injury adn handing in a transfer request.

I think if they get their targets in replacements in and signed today ( primarily Lemar), he gone.

I'd be disappointed, but Arsenal have no champions league, could still be good. United, City, Spurs, and Chelsea are all very good.

Would have to see how the guys come in and perform before being upset with 4th place, particularly if they do well in FA Cup and CL.

Me personally, no no pitchforks unless we fail to finish top 4. I think we are a year +1 or 2 world class players away with who is presently on the roster.

Positive signs are that recently (if you believe reports) the players we are in on are turning down opportunities to go to bigger clubs ( ie Keita, VVD, Ox, Lemar) That speaks volumes about ow bright the future is.

As far as other Liverpool fans,... i get the sense it would be an abject failure and FSG would be in he shit house, particularly if they cant land VVD.

Defense is our Achilles heel. Must sort this out.

Let’s say 'Pool keeps Coutinho and everyone is healthy. Who sits out of these players?

Coutinho (no way)
Mane (gtfoh)
Firminjo (too key to the press, and while he’s no #9, Klopp loves him more than Sturridge)
Salah (tough to sit…him and Mane create nightmares on the wings)
Lallana (sooo creative, soooo determined, great for the press)
Can (playing really well…what an athlete)
Henderson (captain)
Wynaldum (everyone needs a glue guy)
Sturridge (probably the 2nd best pure goal scorer, and the only true forward)

So the obvious choice is Sturridge. That still leaves 8 players for 6 spots (and if rumors are correct, we’ll swap out Coutinho and add both Lemar AND Chamberlain…two more midfielders.) Next choices are Wynaldum and Hendu. But then, where is your spine? Who is your #6? You cannot get away with not having a disciplined, hard-tackling player in the middle. I don’t think Can is there yet.

I just don’t like adding more midfielders when the defense is in dire need of reinforcements. The depth is great and BADLY necessary, and with so many potential games between the EPL, the FA Cup, the Capital One Cup (or whatever it’s called now), and the CL, Klopp has a chance to keep everyone reasonably happy. But there are going to be a couple of badly damaged egos when/if everyone is healthy and Klopp has to put his best team out there.

Here's my front 6 right now, assuming everyone is healthy:

Mane Firmino Lallana

Courtinho

Henderson Can

Ugh...Henderson is like the 9th best midfielder on the team LOL, but we need some spine. I changed the line-up like 5 times too. What about Salah? Wynaldum as the glue guy?

Yeah, it's tricky trying to come up with a best XI out of all these guys. My front 6 is similar though:
Mane Firmino Salah
Coutinho Can
Hendo

I think all those positions are firm except Can's. Could argue for Lallana or Wijnaldum there, but I like Can in the side for his physicality, and his form has been great.

So yeah, that leaves out a lot of good players. But with injuries and cup competitions, there will be plenty of opportunities. We need the depth this year.

Teams looking at Sanchez and Ox, but not Ozil...hmmm.

If Ox stays fit, I'd love to see him under Klopp. Otherwise I think he's an overrated English player until he can prove otherwise. Klopp seems to bring out the best in players.

City wants to swap a player for Sanchez along with a fee. Imagine being on that City squad right now. I'd hide if it meant possibly going to Arsenal.
