If you needed any more proof of how freaking weird this family is...

Josh Duggar, of TLC's "19 Kids and Counting," resigned his position at the Family Research Council Thursday after reports surfaced that he allegedly sexually assaulted four female siblings in the large family, plus an additional female victim.

The 2006 police report obtained by In Touch Weekly magazine revealed that one of the Duggar siblings, who In Touch Weekly identified as Josh Duggar allegedly committed the assaults. The incidents date back to 2002 when Duggar would have been 14 years old. In the 33-page police report that FOX411 viewed, the name of the Duggar family members in question are redacted throughout.

Several members of the Duggar family were interviewed by police, as detailed in the report, and they confirmed the incidents, but all the victims said they felt safe at their home, and that no incidents had occurred since Josh returned from the "training center."

They said the incidents brought the family closer to God and that their brother had been forgiven.

Duggars reeling from Josh's sex-abuse scandal

"We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life."

Josh Duggar was never charged with a crime, and the statute of limitations has now expired.

InTouch reported that his father took Josh to an Arkansas state trooper who was a personal friend, who took no action other than a "very stern talk." That officer is now serving a 56-year term in prison for child pornography, the magazine reported, and no case was ever brought against Josh Duggar.

The irony is he was the executive director of "Family Research Council" for the protection of tradition families. My idea of a traditional family does not include a shit ton of kids and incestuous relations. I will not make blanket statements about right wing evangelicals, but they really rub me the wrong way. (pun intended)

I've never watched it, but I would think it might boost ratings. People will watch to see if they can see molester in his face and try to figure out which siblings he accosted.

This happened in 2006? And they went into the series years after it in the digital age? They had to know it would be likely to pop up.

TLC was in the middle of a marathon when the news broke. lol

The most strange thing to me in all of this is the audacity of the family to do a reality show and this guy to become a lobbyist for the Family Research Council AFTER all of this went down.

Did they really think they could keep it under wraps?

My fiance watches the show, and so I occasionally watch with her. I do have an odd appreciation for their hardcore traditional beliefs and that they stick to them, though I don't agree with all of them and could never live like that myself.

I always thought Josh seemed like a weirdo when he does his interviews. Creep sauce.

I want to know about this "training center" they sent him to. I guess they sent him to some farm to pray the rapist out of him.

It kind of sounds like the "training center" was actually staying with and working for the state trooper that was later referenced as "talking to him and telling him what could happen if he keeps doing these things." Putting him through some hard manual labor to reform him ha. AND that guy was later fired/in trouble for child porn.

They said the incidents brought the family closer to God and that their brother had been forgiven.

This to me is the most important part of the article. The victims said they felt safe in the home and forgave their brother. Romans 5:20-21 says:

Moreover, the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

The problem is sin. I don't know Josh Duggar, nor have I seen the show. I have struggled with sexual sin, but I haven't assaulted anyone because of it. Does that make him a worse sinner? No. Thank God for Jesus Christ, what He did on the cross for us all.

Anyone else get a kick out of "In Touch" magazine digging up sexual assault cases?

Family is weird. Our country now celebrates weird instead of using social morays to pressure people to be normal.

We are all born into sin. There is no scale in the sight of God that deems one worse than another. We are separated from Him through sin and the only way to be forgiven is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

There may not be a scale in the eyes of God, but I have a fucking scale and touching kids is at the top.

Please start your own Duggar Bible Thump Empathy Thread and leave reasonable people to discuss this simply as current events. The sexual sin part of your comment is a little TMI, by the way.

Oh... and don't forget to neg rep me on your way out ya creeper...

I don't know how they could have ever let him back in the house after that.

As the saying goes, Jesus may forgive, but a dad doesn't forget.

Also did he molest his sisters or brothers or both?

These "current events" heavily involve religion as part of the discussion.

You knew what would happen when you started this thread haha.

I find it odd how much make-up the women in the family wear since they are so traditional.
