Poll question: Will the Lions win a game this year?

I'm going with no. First time in NFL history.

I'm gonna be stupid and say yes. If New Orleans gets knocked out of the playoff picture, then Detroit gets them at home in week 17 playing possibly against some backups. N.O. will be playing for nothing, while Detroit will be playing to avoid history. Pride might get them a win. You never know...

Lions suck. Dont even waste a thread on them. They're a piss poor organization that will NEVER amount to anything but losers.

There is some hope . . .

There is some hope . . .

The Lions could make strides toward respectability by drafting the best left tackle with their first round pick and trading their second (from the Cowboys) and perhaps a third to New England for Matt Cassel, who is a better option than either of the two top-rated quarterbacks available in the draft in that he has actually been successful in the NFL. Further, Cassel would be a cheaper option, financially, than what they would have to pay a "slotted" high draft choice. The Patriots would gladly take the Lions lower first round pick, as they prefer "valued" picks and have done well picking lower in the lower end of the round. Further, it would prevent a divisional foe (Minnesota) from getting what could be the missing piece in their 2009 playoff hopes.

Problem with that is???? They wont go that route. They will take another quarterback that will turn out to be a flop. Plain and simple......LIONS SUCK DUDE!

They have alot of pieces... Suh. Fairley. Calvin Johnson. Stafford. Delmas. Pettigrew. Jahvid Best... All young players with tremendous upside.

Future is bright in the D

Detroit doesn't make playoffs anytime soon. No matter how impressively they have improved, it is hard to say they are better than:

Green Bay, Atlanta, Chicago, New Orleans, Philadelphia, New York, Dallas, Tampa Bay, and even Minnesota......

i think they'll win more games this year(2011) than they have in quite a few years. their defense should keep some games close enough for to win as long as they bumble it away.

there is hope in the Motor City for the first time since Barry Sanders... but yeah, until they fix the O Line they will not have improved enough to get where they need to be... doesn't change the first point though... finally moving in the right direction.

HEY! Well, well, well ... never mind. Had the Vikes not pissed away the last two seasons tossing good money after bad on Hizzoner, Favre, picking up Rudolph might have meant something.
