Denbrock to OC

Looks like Denbrock will probably be the OC next season, with Alford getting some sort of promotion.

This still leaves us with a hole to fill in our staff. Do we promote a GA or bring in a new QB coach? I've heard both thrown around in different threads, and I'd like to know what everyone thinks.

Personally I'd like to see us bring in a new QB or ST specific coach, although if we could get a guy like Jeff Quinn I'd be very happy with that.

Not totally endorsing Sherman to ND as OC, but BK could certainly do worse.

I liked him at GB and a&m.

I think a lot of the problems of the Dolphins on O are that Ryan Tannehill is their QB, their O-line sucked (injuries, quitting, and suspensions didn't help), and they don't have good WR's (have never been a big Wallace fan, personally...but what else do they have there? Not much), TE's, and RB's.

Did I read we are looking to go outside the program for OC? If so, where, I want someone knows the spread well. But I wonder which way BK wants to take his spread, either as a power spread or speed spread. Even if we go to a power spread we will still have a strong pass element because of BK. Maybe a guy from Clemson, ASU, Northwestern, or something along those lines.

You would think, but that is not the style BK has previously run, and his lineman recruits have been split between what Oregon runs and more powerful offenses.

I want to see what direction he goes with the coordinator. Even though BK will likely call plays the OC will have a lot of influence.
