OMG Biden's town hall is all time bad. Soft ball pre-recorded vid questions, and he can't even make sense. Talked about small businesses getting $1200... Talked about the defense act when talking about individuals getting the $1200. Talked about "lighting" and lighting that's good for the environment when asked about covid related topic... dudes a train wreck. Talking about putting his hand on a window, then completely loses his train of thought to end it. Even Anderson Cooper looked like WTF, this is awkward.

No airing, Fredo doing his best Orange Man Bad....

You gotta believe the Dems are coming up w/ an emergency strategy to salvage their chances in Nov. I predict Joe will be pushed to bow out due to failing health...they’ll make up an honorable reason so he can save face.

I could see Cuomo & Hillary jumping into the mix if Biden steps aside.

I think the rape allegations are going to do Joe in. They sound pretty bad and even though they have not been widely reported the press cannot ignore them forever. It will be interesting to see if the Democratic Party will cancel the rest of the primaries and just have the convention determine their candidate. I really can't see Clinton getting the nomination but I agree that Cuomo could very well get it. However, he might not want to go up against Trump, depending on how the coronavirus situation plays out, and might deside to wait until the next cycle.

The 30-year-old allegation from a Bernie Sanders supporter? No, I don't think it will. It's a transparent political hit job, much like the one that failed against Brett Kavanagh.

Just so everyone is clear, this is the person accusing Biden of assault --

latest woman to accuse Biden of touching her inappropriately - https://t.co/GY8BNSsOtI - wrote in December: "I love Russia with all my heart ... Russian bots helping Bernie... her supporting Bernie... her supporting Russia. It doesn't even pass the smell test. And the person who recently put her story out there on a podcast is a Bernie Sanders surrogate. It's completely desperate and beyond the pale.

I doubt it derails anything as MSM won't prop up the stuff like they did with Kavanaugh. They certainly won't treat it the same as far as open testimony. I haven't seen a peep on MSM. If this were Trump......

Absolutely shameful politicking by Wisconsin Republicans. Refused to send absentee ballots to voters, and then blocked the Governor from delaying the primary. Also refused to allow an extension for absentee ballots.

So now people are being forced to choose between a stay at home order or going to polling places with insane lines + protocols. Why are they doing this? Because they care more about giving Bernie Sanders a bump than protecting the lives of people in their state. A Bernie "win" drags out the race and hurts Biden, with all of this good for Trump.

Shameful, mail in ballots are the way to go with a pandemic.

I hope for the state of the US that mail in ballots are used for general in November. If they pivot to online voting and open that can of worms, neither party would accept the result.

Calm down.

As of 3/1, Wisconsin had 3.3M registered voters. Around 1.2M requested absentee ballots. The vast majority were sent with ample time to respond. 800K has already been returned.

As for the decision, I cannot understand an expectation of federal courts to create, with no statutory basis, an unasked-for remedy modifying state law—all in furtherance of an unenumerated constitutional right.

The law matters. I say congrats to Speaker Vos for pushing this.

I still have to fill out my Indiana Absentee ballot.

Her stance is quite clear. If a Republican is accused, believe the accuser. If a Democrat is accused, meet due process. She has made it abundantly clear that she is a partisan hack before she is a #MeToo activist.

I hope her Biden endorsement works out as well as her Gillum endorsement.

Weird you didn't have issue with the Republican Ohio Governor delaying their primary* -- in defiance of a court ruling -- when that helped Trump.

But when you get a 5-4 strictly partisan ruling from (activist) judges to overturn a lower court ruling at the 11th hour... then that means "the law matters."

*Which was the correct move, similar to basically everything DeWine has done in handling COVID-19.

Judges who follow the law and apply the text are not partisan, they are being good judges.

How does delaying the Ohio primary help Trump?

Rules are rules and laws are laws. DeWine has the authority granted to him by Ohioans to do what he did. Wisconsinites(?) require a balanced decision from their legislature and the Governor. The Governor can't bypass the legislature and the courts upheld the rule of law, which is far from partisan activism.

No, he didn't. The court said he couldn't postpone the primary when he tried. So then he strong armed them a few hours after that decision came down by having the police and health officials physically close the polling places themselves the day of, and doing it so soon before people were supposed to vote that there was difficult to get any sort of injunction in time. Then their Supreme Court denied someone seeking a last minute injunction to the new edict. There were Ohio Republicans that, at the time, literally called it a "constitutional crisis" and there were also some who said the results of the primary may be invalid per the 14th Amendment. The DNC was also pissed, and basically threatened Ohio that they would lose delegates.

Since then, they have rescheduled the primary for June and it seems that everyone has agreed to move on and run the primary on that date per normal protocols.

Also, the worst thing for Republicans is for the primary to be over and everyone united behind Joe Biden. They want the primary battle to drag on as long as humanly possible, and there is a reason why Trump (and Russia and many other parties) have invested so much energy in trying to get Bernie to be the nominee... or at least stay in to the bitter end with no one having a majority of the delegates.

Biden has been polling +30 in Wisconsin, and there is probably a 0% chance he wins by that much today. More likely than not he will win by a thin margin or lose, because Bernie does *much* better among young people and those that vote remotely. That's why Republicans, not Democrats, challenged this one and fought it all the way to their Supreme Court where they got their Republicans to say "go violate the public health order, who care if people die."

It's also the same reason the Democrat establishment, not Republicans, were the loudest voices against DeWine... and why Bernie supporters were pushing for every primary to be cancelled like Ohio... because Bernie was about to get obliterated in Ohio and further lock up the nom for Biden. Each guide is guilty of transparently acting in their best interest, when really EVERYONE should clearly be in favor of no in person voting right now if we're canceling basically all other public gatherings. It's about being consistent and putting people first.

The democratic primary is long over. Biden isn't even campaigning against Bernie anymore. He's running his pathetic web calls daily blunders online for his die hards.

Also, states have zero obligation to be consistent. That's why some states don't have lockdowns in place right now while others do. States differ wildly in other areas, so it is reasonable that the manner in which they conduct their elections is their choice as well.

The people have spoken. Biden has effectively secured it anyways.

Someone pointed out she just took the #MeToo out of her Twitter bio after this. What an unbelievable hypocrite. I like how she says that the movement shouldn't be used for political purposes or motivation, but anyone that calls her out on her BS on her Twitter page is a "Bernie Bros." So, she's using the situation to criminalize a group of supporters, whether they support Bernie or not, to further put Biden up on a pedestal for political gain. Double hypocrisy.

I don't know whether to laugh or to cry at that bottom tweet.

Holy smokes that was bad. But you have to laugh too.

Lax - sincere question. You really think Biden is still the best option for the nomination. While I think a Biden with his wits is a stronger candidate than Bernie, I think Bernie is stronger than a Biden without his wits. This isn't like an occasional gaffe. This is pretty much routine right now. All jokes aside, I'd be worried AF if I were the DNC.
