The greatest nation in the world and somehow the best candidates that we can put forward are Biden and Trump.

I could literally post different Trump gaffe every day from now until election day and not come close to running out of material.

This is another one you won't win, sorry. Say Trump isn't the most articulate, sure.

But to try to slide in any comparison to Joe Biden, or say their levels of incorrectness are even in the same ballpark is nuts.

Joe Biden is on his own planet in this regard.

I do appreciate that you adopt Trump mannerisms in your posting. At least you stay on brand. You just say the same thing over and over again -- even if it's easily proven to be factually wrong -- and think that's "winning." It works on stupid people, but that's it.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...e-or-misleading-claims-his-first-three-years/

And I'll save you a post, because you can't attack the content of the article you'll just whine about it being the Washington Post the same way you do anything from New York Times, CNN, etc. #FakeNewsMedia

Trumpers play make believe about Joe Biden being "corrupt" when Trump has a long history of fraud, won't disclose his tax returns, and has had much of his inner circle indicted or sent to prison.

Trumpers gasp at Joe Biden gaffes without any semblance of irony that Trump spews more inane and incorrect nonsense than any President, ever.

Literally any character assassination attempt you can try on Biden can be thrown back at Trump 10-fold.

I agree with a lot of what you say.

But honest question. What grade would you put on Joe's mental state in %, and what's your confidence % that he doesn't further decline in the next 4 years. I'm not talking about personality, etc., purely medical.

In all seriousness, he reminds me of one on my uncles (not blood, but extended) that went down hill quickly. Started out with disruption of thought and struggles with conversation, and was full tilt lost in less than 2 years. He was actually a local politician and highly articulate back in the day.

From a political/platform perspective I was already greatly concerned for instance how he would manage China if he were elected. Now I'm completely petrified lol... Xi would treat him like a 2 dollar hoe on payday. Many of my dem buds are seriously concerned. A few of them tried to spin it early, but now they're like WTF.

Strange days...

Trump is no Obama as an orator. Watching Trump give the COVID-19 updates, he doesn't do real good at the podium. He has a hard time reading his notes and coming back to them for talking points as he repeats some things, but he can stay more focused. Biden seems to lose his train of thought mid sentence which is a sign of some mental health issue(s) and is going to hurt him. With more time to prepare for a debate, I think Trump will be better at the podium. Joe just won't be able to remember and you can't prepare for that.

In other words, Trump isn’t a seasoned politician. Biden has no excuse and his bungling of every interview & debate leads people to speculate that age is affecting his cognitive ability.

And I’m not defending Trump’s consistently dumb comments. Just saying even his supporters shouldn’t expect him to be an orator on par w/ Obama, Reagan, Clinton, JFK, etc.

Can you point me to where you have factually proven Joe Biden is Donald Trump when it comes to interview ability and coherentness?

Most of your post is moving the goal post so I'll skip to the next part that's actually on the topic you started.

Perhaps? Not sure. We will never see the interview of Presidents not in the modern era. But even if that's true, if Joe Biden becomes President he's going to launch past Trump and every other President we've ever heard talk.

We're not talking character here? You brought up coherent thoughts. Stop moving the goal post if you're going to post with the big boys.

I don't know how to assign a %, but I don't think it's good. He was not at the top of my list for candidates for that very reason. He clearly is on the down trend. Bernie Sanders had a warping influence on the race, and that's how Democrats ended up with Joe Biden. I would have very much preferred someone like Andrew Yang.

Yet, Americans insist on remaining partisan. Character? That went out the window in the 1992 election. That’s what opened the door for morally bankrupt folks like Trump. But now it gives some folks the vapors b/c since he has an “R” after his name, they are suddenly taking the moral high ground.

Sounds like the one silver lining in the media insisting we collapse the economy is that after the “Great Depression 2.0”, we may finally get a true leader who can unite America and rise from the ashes. Or...we’ll get the anti-Christ.

Proven that "Joe Biden is Donald Trump"? Huh?

You said "say their levels of incorrectness are even in the same ballpark is nuts." and I showed the receipts that no President has ever been incorrect as much as Donald Trump. The end.

But now you want to talk about coherentness (not a word, btw)... while saying I'm the one moving the goal posts. Ironic.

You used to be such a good poster. There are still pockets of strength, but IDK what happened.

Re read the posts that you started, I addressed, you alluded to "facts", then changed your entire point from coherent to character.

This is grade school level posting and pivoting. Do better.

After seeing the process, Andrew and Amy were the only ones that didn't completely turn me off or scare me. Yang scared me a little, but I felt he was smart guy (misguided a bit lol) and honest. Amy IMO was best equipped in terms of total picture.

Biden honestly scares me in so many ways. I would anticipate a puppet presidency if he were elected.

Cuomo honestly would be the best best post Covid. While I'm impressed with his early stuff during the situation, he's starting to wear on me. He went from impressive, to regurgitating. I do admire him for putting in the work for his home state though.

Do better.

I agree w/ Yang & AK. I incl Tulsi but she never had a chance w/ the Dems moving so hard Left.

Cuomo has done well w/ initial handling of the pandemic. Since he received all the praise, however; he’s doubled down b/c he thinks it’s given him more power/bully pulpit IMO. Long term, his issue is wanting to Nationalize private industry at every point a crisis arises. Most these leaders are boomers yet they didn’t learn shit from what their parents/grandparents did from the Great Depression through WWII. That includes a polio virus pandemic as well.

This is a good point, so the calculus has to be do you trust the puppet masters? I don't know how to answer that. I'm waiting to see who his VP choice is, first and foremost. Is it Klobuchar? Harris? I think it's clear he wants to do 1 term and then pass the baton to the next generation.

When I take the ISideWith quiz, I agree with Trump positions on about 50% of policy. I agree with Biden's platform 75%+. So if I don't have faith in either figurehead being stable or intelligent, it's an easy vote for me from a policy standpoint. Same thing when it came down to a binary choice between Biden and Sanders in the primary. I hate the idea of choosing a President based upon a set of policy positions, but even if ignore those I saw how Biden conducted himself for 8 years and I've seen how Trump has conducted himself for 4. Easy choice on the lesser of evils from a leadership and stability standpoint. It'd be awesome if I had the ability to choose a person who is capable, authentic, and intelligent but I don't. Looking forward to Nikki Haley vs Andrew Yang 2024 :)

Tulsi was my fav, but didn't include her because she wasn't practical and was never going to happen.

Cuomo at least IMO, should have dialed some of it back. He has been very complimentary of Trump, Kushner, Dr. F, and many others at times. Then attacks without naming names lol. Anyway, props for a least trying to work with folks. I think he's full of himself, but he's doing what I would expect to him to do if I lived in NY and voted for him. The whole NY rebranded/repackaged sanitizer stuff via slave labor is pretty grimy though lol.. And the whole rolling hot spot for ventilators strategy he pushed was pretty void of reality. He's definitely raising his profile and finding fans though.

I don't see the VP as a likely puppet master. I see the current power players like Pelosi, Schumer, Nadler, etc., with the addition of a lot noise/impact from AOC+3 types. And that scares the shit out of me. All of it, not just the AOC+3 part. Watching Pelosi and Schumer over the last XX years has turned me off far more than any of the disgusting or stupid stuff from Trump.

I'm the opposite of you. I'll vote on policy over personality every day and twice on Sunday. I prioritize results and shrewdness over things like "nice", "admirable", etc.. The new new of politics isn't going to reward "nice", and the global state of politics has totally ripped us a new one the last several decades as a result of "nice".

And policy wise, I'm far left on a few areas, but I don't see either side being willing, able, or capable of doing what's needed in the right way, so my far left leanings take a back seat to my more moderate and right of center leanings.

I'd love to have Haley as a choice.

This is a fair analysis. A lot of my friends look at the choices the same way. The “character” ship has sailed. Now it’s a “Nice to Have” vs a “Need to Have”. Sad to admit it but that’s where we are.

On a serious note, you have to wonder what mental capacity Biden will be like in 2-3 years.
