I think I've already said 4 times that I wish it was Bama or Georgia that we are playing but I'll say it this one more time.

I’m sure Cignetti has a plan for high winds that consists of a short passing game + running game. Their running game isn’t terrible but will rely on them being able to pass the ball as well.
The last QB that tried to get by on passing short a lot Drayk Bowen unleashed the fury on his receivers' internal organs so let us indeed see that again.

Based on the USC game I’m really nervous about the IU passing game vs our pass defense. Really wish we had Traore and Morrison. Our pass rush was really bad vs USC and obviously Gray struggled 1 on 1 until the big pick 6

IU had 68 yards passing against OSU. 95% of that came on two drives.

Rourke got sacked 9 times verse OSU + UM. He got sacked 11 times in the last three games. That's a 12.5% sack rate, which ranks 124th in the country. (credit Jamie U for that stat).

Al Golden is going to feast on this team, in these weather conditions.

My concern is pointed towards ND offense. Protect the damn football in these snowy conditions. Make IU pay for their aggressive nature up front. Riley needs to make good decisions and take what they give. ND will be just fine.

Every time I start to shit my pants with anxiety over this game, I think about the above. Honestly won't be shocked if ND beats them 30-7. This reminds me of the times in past years when a good ND team got throttled by an elite team in the playoffs. It's ND's turn to be the hammer. They are the elite team in this matchup.

In other news: I got my tickets!

Exactly we can't make stupid mistakes turning the ball over ect. Golden needs to let Sneed, Burnham, Bryant, Bowen, and Ausberry feast line up different blitz packages

Anyone recall the weather for IU vs OSU or UM? I want to say it was wet vs. OSU but can't remember for sure.

From a fan perspective, the current forecast might just be the worst case scenario. I'd rather see it drop another 5 degrees because I would trade being extra cold for staying dry.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand I think snow and wet make it even harder to throw. On the other, I really don't see us losing this game without some weird things happening and obviously bad weather hurts us there.

Yeah like the way Notre Dame loses is that it's hard to move the ball and we shank a bunch of punts giving IU a field position edge and also miss a few makable field goals. I would rather play this game in a dome know it's against Indiana and not Bama/SMU.

WITH THAT BEING SAID -- I watched that Bills / San Francisco game in the snow, and I think if there is bad footing it plays to our advantage having a mobile QB versus them having a precision passing QB that isn't going to make plays with his legs. It is very hard for defenders to change direction and tackle big people that have momentum when it's snowing and cold.

I worry about a slippery football too. I think messy weather neutralizes games. Difficult to move the ball, lots of turnovers, no scoring. If ND finds themselves in a situation where the score is 6-6 in the fourth quarter, I will spend the entire end of the game in the bathroom throwing up from stress. (Might even see drunk Wiz in there if I'm lucky.)

I had a sudden flashback to the urinal trough's. Always was a good time trying to get in and out of there as quick as I could before some drunk idiot wizzed all over himself.
