Because whenever we get matched up with them it’s the same damn thing. “OSU isn’t actually that good we can handle them easily and win our bowl”. The bowl happens and we are taken behind the woodshed by a team that knows how to be an elite team in this landscape of college football. Hell, I’m just hoping that text year isn’t a repeat of 2016 because last time we matched up with the Buckeyes in a bowl we had one of the worst years ever the next year. That’s the only thing I hope changes.

I don’t know, last time we played them I think everyone respected how good they were. Won it all the year before and had everyone ack. They were probably the most talented team in the country that year.

That's a big difference between ND and Clemson. Their backups get plenty of PT and make things easier when they step into starting roles.

He supposedly wanted the job, but he went to Florida. There have been opportunities for Urban to come here, and he's not here. He's not coming here, and it's silly to think he'd do much better than BK given academic restrictions and self inflicted punishments we've inflicted on ourselves. I think we would beat OSU this year. But the bottom line it's Clemson v Bama, again. The other 2 teams don't matter.
I really hope that Kelly says thanks but no thanks we don't deserve it when the playoff committee slots us 4th because our loss was better than A&M.

Ending the year with 2 straight blowouts isn't a good look.

ND will never get the kids they need to compete at this level.

What I'd also like to see is a coach like Venables who is happy to be the DC on a good program with no aspersions for a shitty hc gig where you'll be out of a job in 4 years because you are setup to fail.
