Part of having a function brain, is that you and I can look at the Daniel Shaver incident and realize that it is pretty horrific. This is not a zero sum game. Holding people accountable does not all of a sudden mean someone gets off for something else. Don't you worry, us white people will be just fine I can promise you that.
If hearing about a black person being killed your first instinct is to feel defensive - that's a deeper issue than "stats".
Are you asking if there are support groups for victims of domestic abuse? Because I can 100% promise you there is.
Yeah those uppity black folk and their "agenda", I guess their agenda is "please don't kill me".
Eh...the media covers black folks getting killed by police pretty regularly. But a white guy getting killed by police isn't going to get national coverage. So I won't get defensive, but I'll usually roll my eyes.
The big reason the agenda is "please don't kill me" is because people are told by the media/BLM that the police are going to kill them.
I'm not gonna claim that black folks have it great when it comes to policing and that there are probably ways to do better there, unarmed and armed people alike of any color shouldn't lose any sleep at the thought of being killed by police.
