In pure baseball sense nothing, but it's part of the lore and history which all of the discussions have been built upon.

Obviously not a Cubs fan, but I would like to see Chicago vs. Cleveland in the series.

Same here. When playoffs started that's who I wanted to see in WS.

What the hell happened to Heyward?

Obviously I'm am an AL fan but he was he decent to plus offensive player for years there, now he's this major offensive liability? Is he just slumping or has his career just gone down?

He's only 26 but his numbers were uninspiring to say the least during the season and now in the playoffs he's been awful. We'll see if he has a bounce back year next

I read somewhere about how flawed his batting mechanics are, and that he needs a lot of work this offseason...

This. Mechanics issue and his bat is slow. Needs to shorten his swing and remove some of the excess movement. But he's an elite athlete and the best right fielder in the game.

He's been lagging the barrel all year. As was mentioned he needs to retool his swing during the offseason.

He looks so uncomfortable at the plate.

I think Heyward is going to pull a Lester. He signs for big money and doesn't perform quite like he wants in the first year (though Lester was good...just not great). Then he has a breakout second year and no one remembers the previous year.

I do think Heyward's issues are mechanical.

His Problem are absolutely mechanical, when they broke down his swing in game 4 in slow mo you can see how long an looping it is. My dad played High school ball with Cubs hitting Coach John Mallee. I'll have to have him ask him what he thinks sometime. If he gets that fixed, with the addition of schwarber next year that lineup will be twice as scary as it already is.

When they show the close up of his hands, they look way too close together, almost overlapping. Close to the interlocked grip some golfers have. I haven't paid that close to attention, have they always been like that?

Yummy.

I do like Soler Power though. So who's in the OF when Kyle comes back? (Note: I don't know contract statuses. Aka Folwer? Zobrist? Are they long-term guys?).

I Like Soler too but he has to show that he can stay healthy a full year. Fowler is a Free agent Zobrist has 2 more years. Outfield looks like Schwarber in left, Almora in center Heyward in Right if Fowler goes elsewhere. Zobrist might just be strictly a utility guy off the bench and idk what you do with Soler. Good problem to have.

You can trade Soler down here to us in Atlanta. We need another bat in the OF. We have a ton of pitching prospects.

I think so. But I think the swing is longer and busier than it used to be.

If Fowler becomes a FA maybe the defense looks like: Schwarber LF, Heyward CF, Soler RF. Bryant 3B, Russell SS, Baez 2B, Rizzo 1B, Contreras C. Of those eight Rizzo is the oldest and he turns 28 next summer. The offense from that line-up the next 5 years should be nasty.

Zobrist has to be in that mix.

After this post season he'll most likely get his time in the OF. Maybe get starts in the OF and 2B it'll be interesting to see what happens. Soler could come off the bench too. If only the NL had the DH...

Obviously they all won't be there for 5 years. Some guys will take the money elsewhere once they get a ring. That's a good problem to have after 108, 109 or when it happens.

Eloy Jimenez is the future of right field and Ian Happ is going to be somewhere if he doesn't get traded for an upcoming need after free agency takes it's course.
