This shit pisses me off. If you know you're sick, stay the fuck away from the public. I'm pretty sure I got Omicron at my son's wrestling event too. I had been pretty careful up to that point, but I decided to help push a lady's van that was stuck in the mud. There were three other guys helping out, and that's when I decided to go without my mask of course.
Something similar happened to a family friend during football season. She was sitting with another kid's mother and the lady had been coughing up a storm all game. She later admitted, "I probably have COVID." Spoiler: she did. She ended up giving COVID to my friend, and that poor lady is high risk at it is. She's had two strokes, she's a smoker, and a bit overweight. Her doctor at the time was telling her not to get the shot because of her previous medical history. In any case, I ended up picking her up at an Urgent Care after she didn't have a ride back home. She had to get a breathing treatment her case was so bad, and the symptoms were up and down for a month. I was probably lucky I didn't catch it then when she was in the car, but she was in a tight spot and I feel for her and her family. Point is...for fuck's sake, quarantine yourself if you think there's the slightest chance you have COVID until you know otherwise. That's what I did, and no one in my family managed to catch it.
Glad that you're nearing the end, hopefully you'll be back to 100% soon.
