Corona Virus and recruiting

The March 21st weekend was supposed to be a big recruiting weekend, but in general this is going to impact all schools with recruiting really pushed to the summer IMO.

From what I'm seeing at local high schools, it seems likely that people are looking at a 1 month shutdown as the "optimistic" situation with some places saying prepare to be shut down into June. Though technically they haven't canceled my season (yet), everyone expects that within the next week activities and travel will be restricted nationwide until there is a "peak."

I would guess, just a guess, that this is going to negatively effect us more than most. We are very reliant on getting kids here early to help lock up OVs. I think schools with more local talent will also be effected, but they have proximity and ease to make up for their lost time.

I worry this impacts us a lot more than others, as well. It was seemingly imperative we get some of these guys on campus soon and that won’t be happening. Hopefully we’re extremely active with communication during this period and can get guys to slow down decisions.

Mike Frank had an update on ISD yesterday that made it seem like our coaches weren’t going to be doing anything in the short term. They’re unsure what they can and can’t do so nothing seemed like the answer.
