Thanks, Whiskey.
The M&P 9C looks pretty decent.
Looks like I'll have to take a drive to the gun shop again.

Seriously considering getting on of these:
Ruger® SR9c® Compact Centerfire Pistols
I've heard some good things about it. Has anyone gotten one recently or have any alternatives that are in the same league?
Take a gander at the Springfield XDs.
Getting one of these from a guy at work for $375. He's had it for 2 years and wants a change:
Glock 19C G3 9mm, Fixed Sights, Compensated, 15rd Mags - Impact Guns
Going shooting this weekend to try it out.
I am considering getting an archangel stock for my mini14 (which is one of my favorite guns to shoot) but I'm not sure how difficult it is to change a stock. Can I do it myself or do I need a gunsmith?

Well, well, well I broke down and bought a Glock 17 Gen 4 today after years of not owning a gun. My wife and I were having too much fun lately at the indoor range. They're putting a green guide rod laser on it for me, so I know my wife won't miss if she ever needs it.
Nice weapon. What kind of Upper and Lower do you have? After this FN build I think I may start myself a lil side biz and get my ffl.
Thanks, its just basic. I didn't get too fancy or crazy with this build. It is just a Rock River Arms upper. The lower is an 80% lower that I machined myself. It has a CMMG lower parts kit. This is my first AR, so I didn't put too much money in to this one. My next one will be a little more high end. Possibly even an AR-10. I was thinking about doing an AR pistol, but decided against it because it would ultimately be just a novelty gun.
First-time gun owner, on the market for a full-size 9mm handgun. Target shooting, home defense, will not CC.
- Safety
- Feel
- Accuracy
- $500-ish price point
- Glocks don't fit in my hand well.
- The trigger safety only on the M&P makes me nervous.
- I like the grip safety and tougher trigger pull on the XD.
- I still want to shoot a Ruger 9mm and the Beretta PX4.
I know I have a lot of shooting/research to do still and I know it's relative to the actual shooters/owners themselves. But I'd still like to hear thoughts and opinions.

)Take a look at the Sig P226 (Prices per model very a lot) you can find reasonable used ones sometimes.
The believe you can get some S&W M&Ps with a thumb safety.
XDs a solid guns for there price point.
