Probably. Cooks had built up some good relationships down there, which he'll now likely leverage for Oklahoma.

No. I consider it a rumor until someone official announces it. I was completely unaware of the situation, and I had no idea what he meant by "now looks official" because he had only mentioned seeing it on Twitter.

Yeah, the unfortunate reality is most of the assistant coaches we've lost have been to lower programs that don't recruit the same kids most times as ND. Cooks, on the other hand, will be recruiting at Oklahoma from the same pool of kids with big time Division 1 talent and will already have a leg up in Texas. He knows the ins and outs of Notre Dame, what our strengths and weaknesses our. That could very well suck for us when it comes to Texas recruiting.

I wonder what prompted the change. I mean, pass defense definitely tanked last year but new scheme and a lot of injuries had quite a bit to do with that. Wonder if he couldnt get along with BVG?

Or maybe he still has a lot of family in Dallas, and would rather have the 200 mile trip from Norman to Dallas, as opposed to the 1000 mile trip from South Bend to Dallas.

All I know is when kids told Woody they weren't interested in OSU, he pushed for them to go to ND. Same thing can happen.

I'm not saying it will happen all the time or anything. Just that it could happen. Even if it's just one recruit, it helps.
