The refs made bad judgement calls on the field but the replay booth is the ones that violated the game. There is literally 0 explanation that they can give that will make it right other than say flat out we cheated. Them admitting to cheating and Michigan forfeiting the game is the only path forward...and we know there is a negative chance of that happening.

If the roles were reversed with Western Michigan throwing the hail mary attempts there's 0% chance that there's even a review of the clock on that last play. It would be ball hits the ground and Michigan celebrates with no review.

Well there is karma. After watching part of this game at Michigans home field with special unis and great new coach it is clear they are in for a very long season and possibly their worst ever. They play Oklahoma, Iowa, Minnesota, Penn State, Indiana and Oregon before getting humiliated by Ohio State. They could also lose to UCLA and Michigan State that QB who celebrates like the conquering hero will have a long season before they switch him to TE.

I think there is a correlation between the legalization of sports betting and increase in oddities, but also there is just way more corrupt shit these days than there was even 10 years ago. See it all the time with "judges" and how they give zero fucks about the law... they just rule whichever way they want to suit their whims.

Kyle Wittingham will talk about how proud he is of his players for making that last play happen, all while knowing that the coach on the other side has to tell his players they did their best, but the powers that be can just take a win away from them that they earned? To the gambling thing. I personally was able to get a ticket at the half of a 7-6 game for WMU at +1125. How many other people who had eyes on the game and saw the books were ridiculously undervaluing WMU? My guess would be the books were going to take a bath on it.

The conference thing always has been and always will be the bigger issue. How many times do we see the calls/missed calls go the way of the NC hopeful? How many times do we see the non conference opponent screwed?

I have been fully expecting that one of the results of the ND/ACC tension is that the Irish get the “conference darling” treatment from the refs this season as an olive branch

College football is going downhill imo fast. The NIL, the gambling, the players not good enough for the NFL coming back to college, and the officiating has been terrible especially the reviews the last 2 or 3 years.
