If you honestly want to know why everyone is such a big meanie to you its because it takes a person who got like a C- in their Psych 101 class about a month to read your posts before theyre able to diagnose you as having a clinical degree of narcissist personality disorder

While I'm sure you initially attempt to post in good faith, you are an extremely defensive person because deep down you're very insecure. This is why you end up getting into so many pissing matches

Also, the worst thing for you as having NPD is that you may post something and get no attention from it. No attention to you is worse than negative attention. So you will gradually up the controversy ante until you start to get your narcissist supply

Then when people inevitably get annoyed or tired of your shtick, you will act all admonished and remain in disbelief how everyone could keep being so mean to you

That is all because people with NPD lack self awareness and are also extremely self absorbed. That makes it extremely difficult for them to realize that their own actions are whats causing them to have a problem or negative experience

You certainly have the right to act the way that you choose to but attempting to call out people because they don't like you and thereby down vote all your posts is next level and only further points out your latent personality issues

Everyone around here inherently understands this about you around here even if they're quit not able to articulate it

Its a football message board. Dropping in mentions that you run a business or whatever else about your personal life would never be pertinent to that topic so is essentially pointless to bring up. Its just a lame attempt to humble brag

Your insecurity is transparent as glass around here

And just a tip--a normal, mentally sound, well-adjusted adult with a normal level of self esteem would not say their wife "is hot" when attempting to describe their marriage. They'd just say something like "and I'm happily married to my lovely wife". The fact you described your wife in the manner you did further outs you as having NPD where by you view her as some type of material object like the houses you were blabbing about for no apparent reason

Cry more

You spent more time on this post than I have in all mine in last 2 weeks combined lol. This is an incredibly weird, and "trying too hard post", addressing things that are made up.

And my wife and I are very happily married (but only cause she's smoking hot ;)).

Everyone should just STFU and start posting about who we think from our roster will be snubbed by CFB 25. My guess is X Watts won't be one of the best safeties in the game and so we need to riot NOW

I think you are right, but we will be appeased by generally higher rankings from the rest of the defense. I 100% could see something like the below:

Cross- 96
Morrison- 94
Mills- 92
Watts- 92
Kiser- 91
Oben- 90
Heard- 88
Mickey- 85
Gray- 85

I could see them going Madden-style and trying to make ratings more varied.

Even in NCAA14, where they had figured almost everything out, most teams ended up with above-average roster ratings after 8 seasons or so in dynasty mode. Too many 3-star guys ended up as diamonds-in-the-rough, and the offseason progression gave some pretty significant boosts.

I’d like to see the majority of the roster players in 70’s and low 80’s like Madden, with the true stars around 90, and the truly elite guys in the upper 90’s.

Im sure it’s too hard to manage that with the college rosters being so expansive, diverse, and so many teams not having points of reference to each other, but a guy can dream of being a salaried employee on the EA College Football Rating Team…..

Speaking of offseason progression, they should bring back spring practice/camp drills.
I’d even pay for it as DLC if I needed to.

You take those dirty words out of your mouth right now. It's bad enough we'll probably be hosed for uniform packs again. We don't need anything else that would make the developers over at 2k go "Why didn't we think of that first?".

And speaking of 2k...I wonder if they will ever venture back into college football games? It will be a mess, but competition will be good for EA.

Damn homie, what you had the 2022 UGA defense slotted at in NCAA 14?

99s across the board?

Could arguably keep Watts and Morrison where there at but the rest of those guys need their ratings dropped by at least five points to be within the realm of reasonable

Agreed

I'd like to see the ratings be a little more tame and varied

Especially with the incoming recruits

And I really hope within the game play they make the gap in player speeds much more noticeable

Granted I haven’t played NCAA now since 2014 but weren’t there a lot of higher rankings than you see in Madden/FIFA? I seem to recall Nix, Tuitt being well into the 90s. In 2013 Manti and Eifert were above 97 I recall. If they go with that rating format, I don’t think those rankings are too crazy besides Cross’s. ND’s defense should be that good.

Yeah I'm actually a huge NCAA video game nerd and have played it every year for forever

Under their traditional/historical ratings systems I think your ratings were fair for Watts and Morrison to be in the 90s for sure. I'd probably put Cross in the low 90s and Mills in the high 80s

I don't really think any of our other returning guys on defense would warrant being anything above mid-80s though

Usually the top guys at positions would push to 95+ so that'd seem appropriate for Teo and Eifert in 2012

Guys that were fringe all americans or all conference type players usually were in the low 90s/high 80s--so 2012 Nix would definitely have been in low 90s. 2013 Tuitt would've definitely been at least in low 90s but probably only mid to high 80s in 2012 as he was still fairly young

On top 10 type programs like ND the solid upper classmen returning starters would usually be in mid to low 80s

Stud underclassmen would usually be in mid to low 80s

Non-starters would usually be in the 70s

5-star freshmen would usually be like 78-82 and 4-stars like 72-78

Its funny but for my own personal frame of reference I grade out all the ND players before/during/after the season in my head using the traditional NCAA ratings system and also our recruits

Did I mention I'm a huge NCAA nerd lol

You have already edited your reply post to mine a couple times now so seems unlikely. Also, what's up with your strange infatuation with how much time you perceive people to spend on their posts and also the constant need to let people know you don't have a lot of time to spend here on this board? This might be another area we need to delve into a bit. Seems you're a little self conscious about the whole thing for some reason

Wait, so you're just making all hot wifey stuff up?

And my wife and I are very happily married
Okay. Who said you and your wife weren't happily married? Stop being so defensive bro

He's posted pictures in the past, although I think she was just a girlfriend back then.

You are weird. And bored. Please move on, no one wants to read pages of an online stranger psycho analyzing someone they've never met, known, or spoken to.

I'm comfortable with you thinking the worst of me, but spare us, please.

I'm pretty sure I've still got a .zip file somewhere with all the custom sounds for ND, all ND band stuff: 1812 Overture for start of the 4th quarter, various drum cadences for sacks and 1st downs, Rakes of Mallow, Crazy Train or Imperial March for 3rd downs, etc. I also had the "Here Come the Irish / Shipping Up to Boston" from a live game in place, and "Lets go Irish" chants from the stands and the band entering the stadium. I had a ton of stuff, some of it from the NCAA forums, some ripped from ND band CDs, and some custom made.

I really hope they allow you to add that stuff again in the first version. I had a few for other teams I liked to build too like Texas State, but it was a lot harder to find the material and traditions for other teams. I knew the Irish traditions from going to games, but fans on other boards weren't always as helpful.

I think their big thing for the return of the game is an effort to make the home team’s atmosphere as realistic as possible, which included soliciting schools for sound files, band recordings, etc.

That's great, but hopefully they give you the option to override and import if the quality is low or there's something missing. Like, they had fight songs for everyone obviously, but I liked using live game versions when possible if the quality was good.

My son has been playing Fortnite lately… I guess he’s getting good enough that he expects to collect at least a few kills in his matchups.

He had his first gamer rage incident the other day… spiked the PS5 controller into the floor while I was sitting at my computer desk on the Xbox. My desk faces the corner, so I had my back to the action, but heard his frustrated outburst and heard the controller hit the floor and bounce away.

I turned around to see the most hilarious “oh shit” look on his face that it immediately softened my anger.

Still gave him the business about controlling his emotions, taking care of our property, etc. He’s now grounded from the PS5 for the week, and I’ve threatened to use the money he’s been saving for Spider-Man 2 to buy a new controller in case he broke the other one (I will NOT do this, even if he did break it… but I’m gonna let him stew on it for the week lol)

My kids have gotten into Fortnite over the last week too. I've jumped in with them a bit too on my PC, we've got several Battle Royale wins so far. Their 7 year old cousin jumps in on occasion too, pretty good player actually, but he can be intolerable. My nephew came nearly 10 years after his older sister, so he's almost been raised as an only child, they dote on him way too much.

In a rare bad streak he went down shortly after landing, screaming the whole time for my daughter and I to get him up as we're just looting up our first guns. We save him, and he starts bitching that there's no good guns where we're at. He goes down a second time not long after, bitching and screaming for us to get him up again while my daughter and I clear the bad guys so we can get to him. We save him again and he throws a fit, destroys one of our two vehicles, then drives off in the other leaving us there. What an ass!

I was playing some NCAA 12 last night, and I came up with three things in Dynasty mode that I think are desperately needed to occur within the next couple releases (preferably this first one):

1. CPU having logical recruiting classes. When you look at the CPU recruiting classes in dynasty, they are a mess. Teams will have 3 kickers, 4 free safeties, 3 QBs, and then 1 tackle, 2 guards, and maybe a couple random positions sprinkled in. What you are left with are ridiculously out of synch rosters which leads to....

2. Proper depth charts for the CPU. Once you get into the deeper years of the dynasty, there is nothing more annoying to me than seeing a CPU offensive line with 2 fullbacks starting because of the lack of OL depth. Not only does the roster actually lack any players, but even when it does, they slide in a FB to play guard because he is "higher ranked" than the backup right tackle.

3. Granted I haven't played much of Madden since like 2010, so maybe this has been fixed in them and will translate to NCAA. Throws with touch actually dropping over coverage. The physics of throws has always been a touch off. Not only do you have the superman LBs who have verticals that make Zach Levine look like me, but when you try to throw an over the shoulder pass that falls into the receiver's hands, it always comes down to him at an angle that allows a DB to make a play on it. Just never seems to have the right amount of air underneath.

All on the money. CPU should have had more intelligent AI than that back in 2013... no reason the auto-sort shouldn't also account for positions, and why the signing day simulation for non-user teams can't auto-sign some random one and two-star guys at legit positions of need, especially since the recruiting tab DOES track positional numbers, needs, targets, commits, etc. I'd also hope their "Position Changes" step in the offseason actually takes place for the CPU, as well, that way the CPU can balance out its numbers.

I'd add:

- There should be two WR depth chart places, one for outside receivers, the other for slot receivers, which I'm pretty sure Madden does.
- FB is optional... don't force me to carry one if my offense doesn't call for it. Hate having to move a good TE to fullback, because it affects his ratings progression
- Also, more control over sub packages... I want "3rd RB" to be an option for my backfield sub packages.

Frostbite engine says otherwise. Heck there are even Madden games from early 2000's with more features than the latest editions. I know a lot of people haven't played EA sports games in ages but the hype/trust in them should remain muted until they prove to gamers otherwise
