Felt like it'd be nice to have a place for general news/happenings. Don't think there is one, I could be wrong.

Game day is going to Oregon-MSU next weekend(no surprise).

Vernon Adams was knocked out of the game by a cheap shot. Did not look good.

In other news, tonight ND sacrificed Texas to Cthulhu, lord of darkness and destroyer of worlds. No word yet on how this affects the upcoming Rice game.

College football final, was really bad. Felt like a cheap indie show. The Joe testorie guy was awful and fake excitement, Galloway is pretty snooze worthy.

I actually liked it ok except that Testorie kept talking over everybody. I hated old college football final though, Mark was a troll and Lou sounded like he had dementia.

Couldn't find his thread, guessing it doesn't exist anymore.

A lot of really underwhelming performances from the Top 10 this week. TCU, MSU, and Oregon were among the more underwhelming teams.

MSU could've easily been closer too. WMU threw an INT in the endzone from a few yards out with a minute or so less. Could've easily been a 6 point win instead of 13.

And they play each other coming up. so one will drop.

Not very impressed by Baylor,TCU,MSU but its early. At some point this year after the wins pile up people will start to focus on Notre Dame's excellence rather than their opponents lack of play. Note to college football critics maybe Notre Dame is causing the lack of productive play by Notre Dame's better play. Once again I'm waiting for the trip to Clemson-I think it will be an eye opener for the rest of the country. Without injury they are going to handle Vir/Ga Tech

I can't blame anyone for not buying ND,... this is a program that hasn't delivered a single elite season in over 20 years... The non-believers have history on their side until ND puts at least one season like that together from opening kick through the bowl season.

Our front line talent at every position is borderline elite to elite. To me it all comes down to injuries. We HAVE to stay healthy, we've already lost plenty. That beat down was not your typical ND fluke, but we have to stay healthy.

I get all that and agree... I'm not speaking for myself but more so what I perceive is the typical view of ND football outside of our fan base... even this season, if they don't stay healthy the majority of the non ND media won't give two shits when ND drops a game or two or three because of it... it'll be 'same old ND'... I'm not saying it's fair or that I don't get your point... bottom line is ND lost the ability to ride the benefit of the doubt with the majority of nation years ago and the only way that is ever changing is by ND delivering for an entire season.

Is this thread going to get better, KPENN, well is it?

Via the reliable media, ND a team with one of the most dominating performances of week one, obviously must have a bye week, and people are taking about Coon doing who knows what with a hotdog??? (Must be displacement and projection based upon deeply seated fantasies!)

If Oregon could just get a front seven... I wonder why they don't try to go after more polynesian muscle... You'd think being THE west coast program would help them there.

Oregon just blew it vs. Sparty. Vernon Adams had Byron Marshall WIDE open by ten yards and overthrew it.
