ESPN showed what they thought was in he injury on a run play. It looked like his right wrist was bent pretty far backwards. I am assuming that was the injury. Maybe not.

I am never going to root for a kid to get injured, especially a seemingly quality kid like Collin Klein. But this would be a major break for the Irish if he misses any time.

While I hope he is ok, it could really help us out if they had to sit him for a game. It would help Manti's Heisman hopes too.

But I don't wish injury on him, just that if he did have a concussion, I hope they sit him.

Not that I'm trying to act heartless, and I wish the kid the best in the future, but at this point in the season anyone trying to act like Klein sitting out a week isn't a big deal for ND's chances of going to Miami is trying to be PC.

I got the feeling that Golson not playing in the BYU game was more about Kelly feeling that he wasn't prepared for BYU because of limited practice (not an issue for KSU because their team runs on Klein) and I think most people thought all we needed was a game manager for BYU (again, not the case for KSU). If I remember right we even heard that Golson was medically cleared in the middle of the week? Anyway, for better or worse, when teams have a big-time player who has a concussion before a big-time game, that player usually ends up playing.

One can have the philosophy of "let the cards fall where they may" while hoping for a positive outcome on more than one front. It's not solely a matter of being politically correct. While mathematically absurd, one can hope a player/team wins in spite of the odds. Just a thought.

It really depends on the severity. Sometimes you can come back two days later, other times it might be two weeks. It's just a wait and see at this point. I was watching some of it during the TOs of the Bama vs LSU game and he was very active talking to his brother on the bench. Hope he is ok though, something you can't mess around with.

I never said those wishing him good health were trying to be PC. I'm saying that the potential positive for ND from him not playing and KSU losing are worthy of discussion. Injuries happen to every team, and one of the measures of a championship team is the ability to deal with injuries by bringing in skilled backups.

KSU will be just fine if he has to sit a game. Their backup ran their offense after Klein departed, and they are a damn good team that goes far beyond one player.

*Regardless, hope he is ok and can play Saturday.
