Good question. For awhile people kept saying they couldn't afford to get rid of Norvell. They must think that they're forced to stop the bleeding now, or maybe they just got a big donation behind closed doors? Maybe they're trying to get ahead of the carousel and reach out to a rising coach before someone else poaches them?

What do we have to go by other than Deion Sanders? I think for Jackson State and other FCS programs, this works fine. Michael Vick is at Norfolk State. I don't know that it works in P4 or even G5.

I would say at this level, the answer would be no. Rivers and Wilson are not coaching hires. Hiring them would make it more about a feeling or vibe. It's a marketing gimmick.

Bob Chesney was not at all a fit for UCLA in terms of where his CV had taken him prior. It looks ok for now. It's very much a new era. FSU should at least call Dickert. If it isn't a fit for him (or them), so be it.

Yes, big difference two years makes. I don't think Deion is what FSU needs in this moment.

The internet says he's getting paid $7.2 million a year by A&M through 2031. I hope for their sake that contract has a "new job" clause, so they can just funnel it to Elko instead.
