“Latest feedback from BYU source indicates "it's not done yet" and that BYU "feels confident they can keep him".

Getting the sense that BYU is making it's biggest play here so far in ongoing discussions.”

Getting left at the alter by BYU would certainly be a new low in the search by PSU

How deep are BYU’s pockets? I know they signed the #1 recruit in basketball last year so I’d guess they have some cash to play this game. But enough?

I think byu and ole Miss should be given a bit of special treatment considering all those players have had to go through,… ole Miss should get a free first round trip, without any coaches because look what the previous ones just did to them, to South Bend, these poor kids have never even seen snow since we all know that conference never leaves its region, show them snow,… let them enjoy a trip north,… then, those poor kids from BYU had to endure all that tortilla violence, the great Masa Massacure of odd ‘25… then their coach leaves??? Give them Tech’s spot regardless, the Raiders are totally frauds anyway, and give BYU a first round bye in our bracket,… why not?? It’s the only humane thing to do

Memphis and Tulane should make a run at Billy Napier.

Is Dan Mullen really staying put at UNLV?
From everything reported around here, yes. He's already done the low level P4 job (MSU) and the high level P4 job (UF) and he crashed out so hard he said he felt he was done coaching for good. Nothing lasts forever, certainly not at a G5 school, but it's his first year here and I don't think he's ready to get back into the churn of a power conference again. He's sort of a weird cat and his personality rubs people the wrong way, even though he was part of the Meyer Golden Years he wasn't UF's first choice in the hiring cycle that year (Chip Kelly was), but was sort of settled upon after other options dried up.

BYU 247 Board mod has reported Sitake to PSU is done, Jay Hill to take over as BYU head coach
This guy doesn't have a STAFF tag, but he has 247 in his name, which leads me to believe he was staff at one point. Their board has taken it as truth fwiw

As someone who lives in Central PA and unfortunately knows the Pedo State fan base well, I gotta admit that I am downright giddy at the possibility that it's actually Sitake.

1) Their crushing disappointment that it wasn't a bigger name. Followed by...

2) The absolute entertainment of watching Penn State fans talk themselves into trying to like the hire of a Polynesian Mormon from BYU.

Inject all of this into my veins.

PSU hiring a Mountain West Head Coach, that's what happens when you become just another face in the crowd as a conference member. Should've stayed independent.

They had these fuckers thinking they were getting Freeman or DeBoer

“But. They did the search, with a wide net. Through it, they identified the candidate. The mystery candidate is Kalani Sitake.”
