I don’t. He’s got some stubborn things that I hate, but I genuinely wouldn’t trade him and what I know he can do with this roster for any OC and what they *might* do in the country.

Anyone who says he should get the boot inarguably doesn’t know ball.
Top 20? BFD. Has the two best RBs, a solid D and when he had to play from behind twice this year he wasn’t good enough. I’m pissed more about the Miami shit show on his part and our pathetic short yardage playcalling and pathetic execution. Carr has also been the best freshman WAN so far and probably a top 20 QB if not better. Solid OLine and one of our best receiving corps in years. Top 20?! Make it top 10 and I’m probably not saying a thing.

He had them competing most of the season but losing 41-0 to a dinged up Louisville team their rival is just inexcusable. Feels like the players were laying down so he would get the boot. Why does a midland coach like Stoops warrant a $36m payout?! Why does these tier two level coaches even secure a buyout in their contracts? They would be taking these jobs without the buyouts as they don’t have others beating down the doors to get to them.
I assumed that was just the value of whatever was left on his contract?

On3 writer on Freeman from this morning "It’s unlikely that he will end up at Penn State, but Pat Kraft will keep making that call."

@EvilleIrish - does it get tiring to constantly just puke out negative shit? Just constant bitching and moaning, holy hell.

And wtf even is "keep making that call" except click bait?

"Do you want to work for us?"

"No "

"Do you want to work for us?"

"No "

"Do you want to work for us?"

"No "

"Do you want to work for us?"

Yes, clearly, this is exactly what's happening.

I don’t understand the obsession with people hating Denbrock, by almost all metrics this team had a top 20 offense in all of college football and averaged around 40 points. You guys want to replace that?

I don’t hate him. I think he is very good. He just gets to cute sometimes and ruins the momentum.

I don't know enough ball to say either way, but I don't think it's that crazy for people to maintain that Denbrock has benefited more than any OC in recent memory from generational talent buoying up his best looking efforts.

He's far from the only one who does it. It doesn't make it less infuriating, but it happens a lot in college and even the NFL. There seems to be a desire among coaches to call the game they expected to play instead of the one that is actually being played on the field in front of them.

On the other hand, isn't it funny that Denbrock always seems to have generational talent playing for him?

Whoever PSU gets at this point is a downgrade on paper compared to Franklin. But Franklin had clearly demonstrated who he is as PSU's coach, and that wasn't going to get them where they wanted to be (whether that goal is attainable or not is a different issue). He wasn't capable of leading them to wins over better teams, and he wasn't closing the talent gap either, despite the media perennially overhyping their team. So what was the endgame in keeping him?

Chesney to UCLA, official soon
This has been rumored now for weeks. It's a really odd one. He has spent virtually all of his coaching career in the Northeast. It's a great hire for UCLA, but I'm curious to know if there is any connection there. It feels like Virginia Tech and Penn State would have been all over Chesney from the get go. How he ends up in Los Angeles at UCLA is interesting for all parties involved.

Wonder if he'll have his players do a mission so they can play when they're in their mid 20's? lol
"Here's the thing, we really want you in Happy Valley, you just gotta go chill out in France or something for a few years and white a short sleeved white button dress shirt and bike everywhere. I know it sounds weird, but it's proven. Google me."

Perplexing that Penn St didn't push for him.

Seems like Sitake would be a better fit at UCLA and Chesney at PSU. But then again I'm not insane/dumb enough to be a P4 AD because I couldn't say things like "Yes we should give Brian Kelly/Lane Kiffin/Lincoln Riley $10+ million to coach 18-22 year olds despite being morally bankrupt liars" with a straight face.

Scuttlebutt from SCUM lol Sherrone Moore got a female staffer pregnant and hes getting shitcanned

He did seem rather emotionally flat in the OSU game. Wonder if he knew what was coming…

Rumours are fun, even better without any substance backing them up…yet.
