Auburn has not had the best weekend. They went from being almost certain they were hiring Sumrall to him leaving them hanging for UF, then had yet another Iron Bowl win (or at least a very good shot at one) snatched away in the final minute. I'm calling and checking on my Auburn friends and offering my heartfelt support. LOL

What’s more impressive? Beating your rival six times in a row or half the state being able to count all six wins on one hand?

That's just a program that I have a hard time envisioning with any real path forward. Then again, I never would have imagined IU would have 2 years like they just had so I suppose anything is possible, but apparently IU was sitting on a moneypit similar to Scrooge McDuck, I'm not sure MSU is in the same place as them financially.

The same NCAA that looked at comically obviously Michigan cheating scandal and decided to suspend their HC for like 2 games over it and do literally nothing else? I wouldn't hold my breath on them to do anything useful.

Tbh, I had no clue what Golding looked like til just now. After seeing him, I feel very confident he’s a much better cultural fit at Ole Miss than Lane Kiffin ever could have been.

This has been the wildest hiring/firing cycle I've ever seen, and it's not over yet. It's like HS when half the couples break up two weeks before prom and everyone's scrambling to find a date or trade up. This is a glorious time to be alive!

Yeah my impression is that Oxford is a little high on itself and kind of image conscious. Golding looks like a slam dunk cultural fit in Starkville.
