BK will get a good replacement in and it will be a good season for LSU in 2024. I think they will handle Alabama easily and we will probably end up playing them (LSU) in the second round of the play offs.

Chryst didn’t bring House with him to Wisconsin from Pitt. Maybe he knew something all along.

I’m always baffled that absolute bottom feeders like IU or Vanderbilt don’t pick up Niamatalolo and just shove all the chips in and say we’re going to do triple option in a big boy conference. They positively will never compete with the big boys doing the same thing they are doing. So do the opposite. They literally CANNOT do worse than what they are today.

Are you unfamiliar with the Paul Johnson years at Georgia Tech?

82-61 all time record. Won their conference, won a NY6 bowl, .500 or better in conference record 10/11 seasons, make a bowl 9/11 seasons. If you're IU, or Rutgers, or Vandy, or any program like that...saying no to the triple option makes no sense.

Not sure if verified, but worth posting since his name got some play before the Denbrock hire:

Ryan Day informed the staff he plans to hire a new offensive coordinator and that coordinator will be empowered to evaluate the current staff and make new hires if he believes that will improve the team, sources said. Brian Hartline, a Buckeye alum who has recruited and developed multiple first-round picks including reigning Biletnikoff Award winner Marvin Harrison, Jr., is considered to be safe though.

That's kind of a confusing story, TBH.

First it says "multiple coordinator changes," but there's no indication that Knowles is going anywhere (indeed their defense was quite good). So I guess they mean OC and Special Teams? No one really calls the special teams coach a "coordinator," do they?

Then they say new OC but also that Hartline is "safe." He's presumably not taking a demotion is he? And isn't the sense that he wanted to get into position to call plays and not just be a WR recruiter? Also Alford has been there forever now, is a great recruiter, and RB is NOT the problem. And they're really going to dump Justin Frye?

So, probably what they're doing here is hiring a QB coach who'll be co-OC. Maybe give that guy more playcalling duties and free up Day to focus on other things. And a new ST coach and maybe a defensive assistant turns over. That's fine but hardly some massive overhaul. Pretty typical annual turnover for a program like Ohio State, TBH.

People are interpreting it that Hartline is being demoted. At best, he stays co-OC, but the new guy will pick his staff.

But...who knows.

I know Michigan won't care if they win it all this year, but the "will Harbaugh jump to the NFL?" story that continues to repeat itself year after year has to be pretty effing anoying for their fans.

But, Muck Fichigan, so...whatever.

I think if they win (and some NFL team offers him a job), he goes. It'd be all downhill from here at Michigan. Probably all downhill even if they don't win. I still think less than 50 percent odds he's their coach in a month.

Finally leaving Michigan when punishments might (hopefully) be coming down from the sign stealing to go have Justin Herbert be your QB just makes so much sense in my opinion. I could easily see a Harbaugh-Herbert led Chargers team be yearly contenders.
