This is a smart hire. Jerry Kill can coach. He's not cut like most of these guys are today, but he knows ball and can coach up a team. He's proven it at places where it is tough to win. Clark Lea makes a good choice here. Hopefully it helps him.
Unfortunately he never seems to stay in good health.

Huber Heights actually. I met him last summer at ND Alum association and we talked about it a bit. My wife and I have a good portion of our family from there, so I mentioned it to him and he was stunned... "You know Huber Heights?" I said "Yeah, my wife's family is from Tipp and I used to make beer runs on Sunday to the Meijer up the road from your High School." He laughed...lol

Those from the Dayton area will understand the Tipp reference.

So, Washington is open. Next we have to see if anyone moves on to the NFL. A late jump from Jim about the only serious chat I’ve seen. Most likely means we could see some late carousel action as that works its way out.

Michigan could be an interesting hire if it opens up. My instincts suggest bringing in a big name, however, the potential for sanctions could cause some pause. Maybe end up with an internal although I’ve no clue who they have that might be an option. Curious what people’s thoughts are.

I would think they would give Sherone Moore a serious look. He did an incredible job this year and is ready to be a HC.

Leipold is a no brainer from that list. Grubb probably a distant 2nd worth the risk.
Yeah. What he’s done at Kansas is pretty impressive.

Honestly I’d go after Fisch. He did a great job at Arizona and they got better as they year went on.

I can't believe Washington is going to let Grubb leave. Just make him HC. Don't overthink it.

It sounds all but certain that Harbaugh is going back to the NFL. If that's the case, Sherrone Moore is the hire there, IMO.

I hope Grubb gets a head coach job and Shep becomes OC. Rees wouldn't take Shep as WR out of ego. Karma

I don’t mind at all seeing UW possibly fall into the abyss.

Do we think there’s a possibility for Rees if he gone from ‘bama, that he goes to WA as head coach?

Also, if it does go route of OC and key staff all going to ‘bama with KD. I think Jedd Fisch would be their guy

Lastly, saw in quite a few of the WA HC candidate click stories and was surprised to see (but very intriguing option) Pete Carroll mentioned. Can you imagine The Poodle at WA? He does live right there.

Can’t imagine that happening. Carroll is too removed from CFB to adjust on the fly to all the major changes.

He’s arguably more suited to cfb now then when he coached at usc. He’s always been a players coach kids would want to come play for him once they meet him
