I don't think Day leaves OSU for A&M- the only way Day sees his seat get warmer is if he loses to Michigan today. During this year's game the OSU fan behind me wasn't happy with Day, but he wins at OSU and I could see OSU giving him $ to stay. I think Jimbo put A&M in rebound mode, would Day want to coach in that type of situation?

For Freeman's case he has to show me more for him to be considered for another HC job, I truly think he loves it at ND, he gets ND and ND would do what they could to keep him. I don't think Elko could handle the ND spotlight he is a pass for me.

I think Eli is a great coach to stabilize a program but not one to win the cfp. I don’t think he has the recruiting chops without “paying” them

He’s not recruiting well at duke, a similar place as nd with their stance around nil.

I'd never want to coach at a&m. They have a lot of investment and a lot of commitment, but not a lot of patience. It'd be several years of stress and burnout followed by being fired for not winning championships at a school that, for whatever reasons, hasn't won one in a very long time.

Ironically their most successful HC in recent times has been the one guy they didn’t go outside the program to hire.

That last sentence made me laugh.

Has anyone checked if Ryan Day is taking classes at The Brian Kelly School of Career Opportunism?

If so, he would be advised to throttle the TAMU AD for another crazy contract. They are used to it at ATM.

Taking The MSU job when ND, OSU, Michigan, and PSU are up feels like an incredibly tough gig.

That really is too bad. He has done an awesome job at Oregon St. He's an alumnus there. It's a shame he had no choice but to leave. The NCAA should be ashamed of what they've done to Oregon St. and Wash. St. Those teams have earned a spot in a Power 5 conference. They play better football than the majority of the Big Ten.

That’s a little surprising. Hope his buyout is on the Jimbo level.
