First of all, I'm going to give up picking these games going forward, because I never saw this coming.
This game was won at the line of scrimmage. It was a rout on both sides of the ball. The offensive line opened up four lane highways all night long, and it was beautiful to see. Clemson knew they didn't want to throw the ball, they knew Notre Dame wanted to run the ball, and they couldn't stop it. Straight down their throats and straight up their asses at the same time.
Give Brian Mason an NIL deal for crying out loud - once again, the special teams set the tone, and they never looked back.
Give Rees credit as well - the game plan worked, and being able to hide your quarterback against a top 4 team is something else.
Benjamin Morrison, have a season in one night. What an impressive performance, and overall season.
I was pissed that Clemson scored. I was pissed when the officials tried to give them a score, but they couldn't make Uiageleiei not throw a pick. I was super pissed when Clemson tried the onside kick, and fuming when they called timeout. I wish that Freeman tried to punch in another score at the end to give Swinney the money shot he so deserved.
What a night.
